“So much. He told me shortly after finding out about the pregnancy he wouldn’t have anything to do with the baby. He’d help financially, but that’s all he could do. Told me there was a reason why but didn’t want to get into it. I basically told him I didn’t want his money and would be moving once you came back to work so he didn’t have to see the baby or the rest of my pregnancy. I was ready to move on. Talon and Judge both assured me they’d be there for me and the baby too. So, I was going to move somewhere in between here and Judge’s club. It was the best solution to the situation.
“Then he came in to talk to me a few weeks after that. He fucked me against the wall and I can’t really complain about it. I mean, the sex with Death is fucking incredible. It was just really confusing. I mean, he’s telling me he doesn’t want anything to do with me. Doesn’t want an ol’ lady or kids in his life. I’ve already got a son and another baby on the way. There wasn’t a future for us. At least not in my mind. But I’m so damn weak when it comes to him. The way he works my body is something I’m never going to turn down no matter how I feel about him or what’s going on between the two of us. Anyway, I’ve been so damn confused when it comes to him. He’s so fucking hot and cold. I can’t stop thinking about him but I want to make sure this is really what he wants. He really fucked with my head. More than anyone else ever has, Jae.
“Then, I pull that bitch off him and sees it as me claiming him in front of the club. So, he claims me as his ol’ lady. Still, I’m confused and have my walls built up tight as fuck. I haven’t moved the rest of my stuff out of the apartment into his house or anything yet. Yeah, I know this is for life and there is no turning my back on him. Or the club. What gets me is his complete switch. To go from not wanting an ol’ lady and kids to everything he did before claiming me as his ol’ lady,” I tell Jaelyn, leaving out some details she doesn’t need to know.
“I get it. Sab and Zeus used to push me away because I was too young. They didn’t think I could handle their life or some shit like that. I can’t honestly remember at this point. Anyway, I didn’t give up and now I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life with my men at my side and three babies. These men are hard and will fight their feelings until they realize what a losing battle it is to deny themselves, and us, of happiness. Sab and Zeus make me happier than I ever dreamed I could be in life. You want my advice?” Jaelyn returns, her voice almost a whisper so no one overhears us talking.
“I’d love to know what you think I should do,” I say honestly, my voice matching hers.
“Give Death every single piece of you. If you do, he’ll give you all of him in return. He’s been hurt in the past. I don’t know the details, and I’m not asking for them if you know. When I was still in the hospital, he talked to Sabotage for a while. Again, I don’t know the details of the conversation. It’s not my business. Though, I’m nosey as fuck. Death isn’t someone I want to fuck with or piss off. So, you have to take what he’s told you, view his actions when he’s with you, and make a decision about everything you want,” Jae says, staring at me. “But, I want to know what he did before claiming you. Call me intrigued.”
“Death brought me to his house one night and had already started putting together a room for Brent. He also has a complete nursery done and waiting for our little one. It still needs to be filled with stuff, but the furniture is already in there and put together. Death painted the walls, hung up some pictures, and stuff like that. It’s so adorable and I can’t wait until our little one is here to use it,” I tell her, my voice still low.
“That’s so fucking sweet. I didn’t think Death had it in him. I’m glad to know he does,” Jae says with a smile on her face.
“I also know he talked to Sabotage. He told me after he did. I’m ready to be with him in every way possible. Just like I know the reasons I want to be with him are selfish. It’s because I like who he is as a man, what he’s about, and everything else I’ve learned about him so far. We’ve had a few conversations about things and I’ve tried to put his fears at ease, but it’s going to take time and my actions to prove to him how serious I am,” I tell her, despite not moving my things into the house and making it our home and not like we live two separate lives.
“We start with making sure everything is out of the apartment and moved into the house. Let him come home to see you’re taking this relationship seriously. That you want to be with him and you understand it’s for life. Death will give you the world. I’ve heard Sab and Zeus talking when they thought I was resting. He’s a good man deep down and doesn’t know how to show a girl how amazing he is. So, let’s get this shit taken care of.”
With a nod of my head I smile at my friend. She knows exactly what I need to do in order to make this relationship with Death the best it can be. Bronwan would be the only other person who would know more than her since he’s her brother-in-law. Taking a deep breath, I watch as Jaelyn gets what she needs out to start making a few batches of candy. Hers turn out perfectly as she works through the process. I laugh and tell her how badly mine have been turning out lately. Instead of getting mad, Jae starts laughing along with me.
It's not long before Sabotage comes in the kitchen to let her know the babies are hungry. Jaelyn heads to the office to nurse them with Zeus while Talon and Sabotage join me in the kitchen.
“Death called and talked to Lash. The plan is changin’ up a little bit with Jae returnin’ to work,” Talon starts, a smirk on his face.
“What do you mean? I’m not sure how it can be changed up any more than having half the club on guard duty at one time,” I say, looking between the two men.
“You won’t be comin’ to the shop as much. He’s not comfortable with his ol’ lady bein’ here when he’s so far away. So, Zeus and I will be here with Jae and Bronwan every day. You’ll be bakin’ and cookin’ at the clubhouse for someone to bring the shit here. You can work as many hours as it takes and the Rebels are there to help you if you need it. Brent and you will remain behind the closed gates of the compound where Vince can’t get to you. No one can get to you either. We’ve also already got our lawyer on the situation and he’s doin’ what he’s gotta do to protect you and Brent from Vince. Paperwork should be dropped off soon,” Sabotage informs me, his voice low because there are other people in the shop.
“Okay. But, what about the catering events?”
“Jae and Bronwan will be taking them over until you have the baby. There is no leavin’ the compound for unnecessary reasons until Death gets home. We’ll be goin’ to your appointments with you too. Bronwan or Jae will go in the exam room with you while we remain in the hallway and surroundin’ the office,” Talon says as he leans against the counter. “You can order anythin’ to the clubhouse or order for pickup and we’ll send the Prospects out to get them. I know you still need things for the baby. We’ll make sure it all gets taken care of. Vince has been blowin’ up your fuckin’ phone since the hour was up. Let’s get you the fuck out of here so we can get you behind the gate. If you’ve got anythin’ to do on the way back, let us know and we’ll make sure it gets taken care of,” Talon says, his voice hard and unfeeling as he thinks about Vince and his threats against me.
“I’d like to stop at the apartment before going to the house, but that’s it,” I say.
Sabotage stays behind while Talon helps me gather Brent and the diaper bag. I don’t get a chance to say goodbye to Jae, but I’m sure Sabotage will fill her in on the situation. As much as he can anyway. Talon, Shank, Boxer, and a few others take me back to the clubhouse and make sure the gate is locked behind us so no one can get inside without going through the Prospect and full patch member guarding it. After getting the rest of our stuff from the apartment, Talon takes me back to his brother’s house where I spend the rest of the day unpacking my things and calling my lawyer to get some money to order new things for the house, Brent, the baby, and myself. This should show Death how serious I am about being with him. At least I’m hoping he likes what I’m trying to do for him.
Chapter Nineteen
I’M GOING ON being here for three fucking weeks now. Don’t get me wrong, I love being with my oldest brother and spending time with him. It’s not something we get to do a whole lot. Not with him being a few hours away from Braedon. However, I wasn’t about to send Sabotage here when his woman just had triplets. Judge needed one of us and I told them all I’d make the trip and do what had to be done until I could get back home. I wasn’t expecting to be here this fucking long though. This job was supposed to be in and out. Get the stupid fucker messing with an ol’ lady of the club, take him out, and then go home. It’s kind of hard to do that shit when the douche canoe went into hiding. So, I’m relegated to phone calls home later and later to talk to my ol’ lady and make sure everything’s good with Brent, her, and our son.
To make matters worse, Vince has popped back up. He called my ol’ lady and threatened Brent. Again. Now he’s talking about taking him from her with his pack of fucking lies. Talking about her using drugs and being a damn prostitute. Kelsey would never do that shit. Hell, she takes her pregnancy pills and that’s it. If she’s sick, has a headache, or is in pain, my ol’ lady suffers through that shit. She refuses to take even over-the-counter medicine because of the fear after being with Vince and witnessing him doing drugs more than once. I just found that shit out about her.
The one good thing about being so far away from Kelsey is we’ve had a chance to talk and haven’t had sex thrown into the mix. Instead, we continue getting to know one another and learn new things every day. I’ve told her things not even my brothers know about me. We’ve also talked more about my time in the warehouse and that fucking skank, Brittny. Kelsey is a good listener and hasn’t changed her mind about me with every new thing she learns.
We’ve also taken to having phone sex while video chatting. It’s not as good as being buried deep in her tight, wet pussy, but I’ll take what I can get. And I have to say, fucking my own hand while listening to her moan and seeing her slide her fingers in and out of her is something I didn’t know I’d like doing with a woman. It has to be all Kelsey. She doesn’t fight when I ask her to do something for me and there’s nothing she won’t do from her end of the phone. The first thing I’m doing when I get home is finding a sitter for Brent and burying myself inside Kelsey for hours. We’ll stop long enough for food and bathroom breaks, but nothing more.
“Death, got a fuckin’ lead,” Ice says, running from the back of the clubhouse. “Let’s fuckin’ role out.”
Ice is Judge’s Sargent at Arms. We’ve been busting our asses trying to find this fucker for weeks now. Chasing down one lead after another no matter what time of day or night it is. We actually work really well together and I hate everyone. So, we make our way out to our bikes and I follow Ice through town and out the other end. Dread fills my gut because I have a strong suspicion I know exactly where we’re heading. There’s only one thing out here; a fucking strip club. I don’t want to see a bunch of fucking strippers dancing to out dated music and moving as if they could care less about putting on a show.
I’ve got a woman waiting at home for me and she’s the only one I want to see or have dance for me. Kelsey would probably be an amazing dancer. She can move her body in ways I haven’t seen before. That’s when we’re in bed or I’m fucking her over the nearest piece of furniture. She always makes me lose control when I’m trying to make it better than the last time for her. Man she fucking drives me wild.
We pull into the parking lot of the strip club and I groan out loud. Parking our bikes along the side of the building, we shut our engines off and the bass of the music fills the quiet night air. It’s distorted and I’m ready to get the fuck outta here already.
“Who the fuck told you he was here?” I ask Ice as he climbs off his bike and I follow him.
“One of the bouncers. Says he’s been harrassin’ the girls and beggin’ for lap dances when he’s on the list they use to ban people here. Wants a private dance and won’t take no for an answer. Pulled one of the dancers down on his lap and refused to let her go until they told him they were gonna boot his ass permanently,” Ice answers, his voice cold as fuck.
