Why?
You’re not here.
I am now. What room are you in?
You can’t come up. I’m sharing withCooper.
Really?
Yes, long story. I’m coming down.
A few minutes later, I see Cole walkingtoward me, where I’m parked in the back of the lot. He opens the driver’s sidedoor, but instead of getting in, he gives me his hand and helps me out. “Whatare we doing?” I whisper. “It’s freezing out here.”
He opens the back driver’s side door.“We’re doing it.” I can’t really see his face, but I can see his teeth and Iknow he has one of those smiles on his face. I crawl in the back, and he getsin after me.
“You don’t think we’ll get in trouble?”Cole hitches me up so I’m straddling his lap.
“Not if we’refast.” Cole captures my mouth, his hands massaging my neck. He flicks histongue into my mouth. I graze my hands under his t-shirt, his skin warming withmy touch. Cole lays me down on the navy-blue vinyl bench seat. He pushes mysweatpants and underwear down my legs. I tug his shirt over his head and hemakes quick work of his pants and briefs. He kisses and nips the spot behind myear that drives me crazy, and I shiver with delight. Cole’s hands skim up myshirt, cupping my breasts, teasing my nipples.
With a gentle thrust, he fills me. I archmy hips into him and we start a fevered pace. The thrill of making love in theback seat of my car, and the anxiety of being caught, gives me a new high. Colegrips my hips, quickening our pace. His hand moves up my shirt again, cupping abreast. Today, today at five o’clock, I’m going to tell this man in front ofall my loved ones what he means to me. That he’s my soulmate, my other half, that I love him with everything I have. “Cole, I love you,” I pant.
“Kate, baby, I love you. Oh god, I’m notgoing to last much longer.” His finger finds my swollen bud, giving it a roughswipe. I cry out with pleasure. He does it again and my body arches and mythighs shake, pleasure exploding in my body with an orgasm. Cole follows me, findinghis own release. He lowers his head, resting it on my stomach, trying to catchhis breath. “Thank you baby, I would never have made it through today withoutholding you in my arms at least once.”
I run my hands through his hair, comingdown from my high. “Anytime, and that makes two of us.” Cole sits me up and, rubbing my back, he holds me in his arms. When I shiver, he helps me getdressed and then gets dressed himself.
Cole reaches up front, turning the car onso it will heat up. He sits back, taking me in his arms. “Now I think I cansleep.” I nuzzle my head against Cole’s chest. But then my stomach makes theloudest grumbling noise. “And eat.”
“What time is it?” Cole reaches above hishead, grabbing his phone. “It’s just after six. Let’s go get something to eat. What’s open?”
“There’s an all-night restaurant on BlueLakes. I’ve been there a couple of times for breakfast before.”
“Perfect.” Cole climbs over the seat intothe driver’s side.
“Wait, for me.” I crawl over. Cole madeit look so easy, but it takes me a minute, so I don’t kick Cole in the facewith my foot. “How the crap did you do that?” Plopping down next to him. “Youmade that look easy.”
“It was easy, Cookie.” He pulls me close, kissing my temple, then puts the car in drive.
“Wait.” I put my hand over the steeringwheel. Cole gives me a cautious look. “Are you sure you can handle this car?”
A mega-watt smile crosses his face and heleans over, giving me a quick peck on the mouth. “Oh baby, I got this.”
“I’m sure you do.” I lick my lips.
“Cookie.” Cole lowers his voice. I justshake my head. He puts his arm around me and I snuggle into the crook of hisarm.
CHAPTERTWENTY-NINE
When we get out of the car to walk intothe restaurant, I realize how I’m dressed. I’m wearing a holy shirt and pants, and my hair is a crazy mess. Cole got dressed when he left the hotel. “Colewait,” I hiss. He turns around to find me still standing by the car.
“What’s wrong?” He scrunches hiseyebrows, walking back to me.
I try covering myself, but then stop. Itprobably looks like I need to pee. “Look at what I’m wearing and I don’t have abra on.”
“You look great to me.” Cole cocks aneye. “But here.” He takes his jacket off, giving it to me. “Will this be,okay?”
“Better.” I rake my hair back, stickingit in a messy bun as we walk into the restaurant. We have to wait for someoneto seat us, and I yawn, resting my head on Cole’s shoulder.
“Katie Cook?”
