“Yeah, I came back to the villa with youand Laura. The guys went back to the strip club. I think he drank an entirebottle of Bourbon last night.”

“All at once?”

“Oh no, throughout the entire night.Cooper’s never been as good as me at holding his liquor.”

“Whatever ya bastard, I am too.”

“See, he’s fine.” Cole kicks the back ofhis chair and Cooper growls.

“You talked to Preston, right? He andOlivia and Alan are all coming today as well?”

“Yes, baby, everything is going to begreat. Stop worrying. Their flight comes in around two.”

“Okay. I know my mother, and she’s goingto want to know all this stuff, even if I’ve already told her. I’m just makingsure I have all my information.” I turn around. “Where are Kit and Race? We’regoing to be late.”

The elevator dings and the two men getoff the elevator. “Hey Sugar.” Kit smiles at me and then looks at Laura. “HeySugar.”

“Well, you look better than Cooper.” Igive Kit the once over.

“The brooding Brit over there had twiceas much to drink than I did. I wanted to…” He trails off. “I wanted to remembermy night. Unlike those two idiots. I think they decided to see who could outdrink who.” I glance over to see that Race has taken up residence next to Coop.He has a baseball cap on too. It’s pulled low over his eyes and his arms arecrossed.

“Maybe you should give them your magicpill remedy,” I say to Cole.

“Already took it,” Cooper grumbles.

“Me too,” Race gripes.

“Where’s Luke?” I ask, spinning around inthe foyer.

“Probably with one of the guys gettingthe Escalade.”

Sure enough, when the SUVs pull up aroundfront, Luke hops out of the driver’s side. The bellhops load the luggage andafter about ten minutes, we are headed towards the airport.

My family is waiting for us when we landin Crystal Falls. “Kate, why don’t you and Laura go find your parents and therest of us will help unload the luggage and get the rental cars. We’ll meet youaround front.” Cole smiles at me.

“Sounds good.” Laura and I walk aroundthe front of the building to where my parents and Kurt are waiting. “Hi Mom.”She pulls me into a hug and immediately starts crying.

“My baby girl is getting married.” Ohsheesh, this is not good. It’s going to be a long weekend.

“Don’t cry. This is a good thing.”

She dabs her eyes with a tissue. “I know,I’m just so happy and sad all at the same time.”

Kurt gives me a fierce hug, almostknocking the air out of me.

“Hey Captain, how’s my favorite youngerbrother?”

“I’m good. I’ve missed you. Can we watcha movie together tonight? Since you won’t be here that long.”

“Of course, we can. But we’re going tohave to get provisions first.”

A wide smile crosses Kurt’s face.“Sweet.”

“I don’t know if there will be time,” mymother says sternly, looking at the two of us.

Poor Kurt’s face turns from one ofhappiness to pure misery. “We’ll make time, Kurt, I promise.” I ruffle hishead. “You finally got a haircut.”

“Mom made me get one, for your fakewedding.”
