“Snow—you—this—” He shook his head.

“I know I’m pushy. If you’re not ready for more with me yet, we can take things slow. We can—”

He didn’t let her finish. Hunter wrapped his arms around her and lifted her to him. “I think I love you.”

She laughed. “You think?”

“I’ve never had a woman as forward-thinking as you are, and I think—yes. I think I do. I love that about you. I love how you tackle every challenge like a bullfighter waving a red cape. I love how you don’t let fear hold you back, and I love that you’re thinking of what’s best for me. For Kassie.” He slid his mouth over hers.

Snow gripped his firm shoulders, basking in the kiss. “I couldn’t very well expect you to make her move just to be with me.”

“She might have liked Florida,” he said, lowering her to the boardwalk.

Snow fluttered inside. A warm wind breezed across her neck. “I will need some help packing my things and bringing it all back here,” she said.

“I’m there.”

“And you showing me around so I can find my way.”

“You got it. Anything else?”

Snow took his hands in hers. Then, with her eyes never leaving his, she wound his hands so they settled on either side of her waist. “And this. Always.”

“I have one more,” he said, leaning down and pressing a resolute, mind-boggling kiss on her mouth. He kissed her long and slow and lasting.

“That too,” she said breathlessly as he pulled away.

She couldn’t wait to give things a try again in a normal way. “I like this,” she said. “No cameras. No prying eyes. No incentive waiting other than the possibility that I’ll love you for the rest of my life.”

“I like the sound of that,” Hunter said, kissing her again.
