“Correct answer,” he snarls, sounding more feral than tame, and then he spears me with his cock.

There are bites of pain at the stretch, but I loosen quickly after my releases, and I’m slick for the movement as his ridges and piercings stroke inside me and drive me insane. I scream at the connection and throw my head back, hitting the shelf behind me. Wrapping my legs around his hips, I hold on for the ride as he fucks me against the knowledge I was never allowed to harness before.

And yet he has promised to gift me all the knowledge I can get.

“Yes!” I cry out, my magic leaking from me as I begin to glow. “Krug!”

“I will vanquish every foe who dares to face you,” he promises. “I’ll fight at your side and keep you safe. I will protect you, encourage you, and love you.” His words filter in past the pleasure, but I can’t keep my eyes open, can’t respond, so instead, I let my magic stroke him and give him my answer as I claim him completely.

With a roar, he fucks me harder, the piercings digging in as the bone above his cock hits my clit when he bottoms out in me, driving me insane. I shout as release after release rolls through me and those piercings stroke the sensitive spot inside me, and I gush around him, coating him. He presses his lips against mine, swallowing my scream. His tusks dent my flesh, threatening to pierce it, and I can taste myself on his lips. His kiss drives me wild and drags me through a valley of pleasure so large, I don’t know if I’m having one large orgasm or a succession of many.

“I claim you in return,” he snarls against my lips.

He slams into me, that bone hitting my clit, and grinds against me, shattering me completely before he tumbles after me. His cock jumps inside me, his hot seed coating my insides before running out and mingling with my own release.

I’m panting. Shadows, I might be hyperventilating. I can hardly breathe with the pleasure rolling through me in waves. I’m pretty sure I can’t stand, but I need not worry. As Krug pulls from me, releasing more seed down my leg, he gently lifts me into his arms.

“It seems I made it so we cannot search.” He chuckles, carefully sitting me on the nearest table.

A raspy chuckle slips from my lips as I push my hair back and point to a large golden tome I’m sitting by. “There’s no need to search,” I say. “The answer we seek is right here.”

Krug blinks in surprise. “What?”

“When I released my magic on you, I sensed it,” I admit, smiling mischievously at him.

“Why didn’t you say something?” He steps forward and strokes his hand over the gilded cover.

“I was enjoying myself,” I reply, biting my lip.

His eyes follow the motion, and he grins. “Next time, rainha, I’m going to fuck you while the others watch, and they join in. We’ll lay you in the middle of us, like a nest, and descend upon you until you’re writhing with so much pleasure, you can’t breathe.”

I suck in air. “Is that a promise?”

His eyes darken, and he caresses my jaw with his fingers. “Yes, Cora the Fearless,” he answers. “And I always keep my promises.”

ChapterThirty-Three

Krug delicately opens the book, and I lean into him, watching as he does, but the words are in a strange language I don’t understand. When I look at him, he grunts in displeasure.

“It is an ancient language, one I doubt any of us know.”

“Fuck, then we need to find someone who does,” I grumble and leap to my feet, stumbling over my unsteady legs. He quickly catches me, grinning as he sweeps my sweaty hair back over my shoulder. Blowing out a breath, I go to tease him for ruining me when I stiffen.

I feel a call.

“Rainha?” Krug questions worriedly as I blink to bring him back into focus.

“I think the magic was pulling me to someone who can read the book,” I murmur. Turning, I start to walk from the room, following the tug on my bones deeper into the castle. Krug follows, book in hand, with a guiding palm on my back as I stumble on shaky legs.

A mixture of magic and weakness from the pleasure he brought makes me careless.

We move down corridor after corridor, spotting Nero and Bracken down one of them, but I pay them no mind, focused on the magic we are following.

“I knew it! You owe me a new blade,” Bracken teases Nero when he sees my state.

Nero simply grins, but it fades when he looks at me. “Cora?” he murmurs.

“She’s following magic,” Krug tells him and holds the book up for them to see, “to someone who can read this. It has the answers we seek.”
