He kissed her forehead, letting his lips linger as he took in the smell of her hair. Let her fill him, fill that place that at one time housed a gaping hole in his chest.

Surrounding him.
Loving him.
“I love you,” she whispered, her sweet voice wrapping around him.
“Little bird, don’t you know that I would be nothing without you.”
The End
1 year later
“What are you doing little bird?” He slid up behind her, and she smiled as his arms wrapped around her.
She loved that feeling.
She was standing at the window, with her morning coffee watching the rain fall. The sound on the roof filling their little home. Their little oasis.
They had decided to come back to Florida. Where they belonged.
Now in more ways than one.

His a few miles.
Mark’s little cabin was the perfect little space away from it all, but close enough that they could have the family that they wanted.
The family they needed.
It had been a rough year. Dominic had had a hard time changing. But what had really made a difference was when Alice had their little girl.
Holding her, with all of them surrounding the new addition to their family, she had watched a light come to Dominic’s eyes, as if he was finally seeing the reason that fate had provided him a family.
