He licked her neck, the spot where he first bit her and growled possessively.

“I’m going to take you away somewhere,” he said in her ear, “where we can be alone,”—kiss—“with no interruptions.”

“Yes,” she breathed against his lips.

She wrapped her arms around him tightly when he hoisted her now gloriously naked body and impaled her. He stilled for a moment, enjoying the feel of her tightening around him. Their heavy pants filled the silence of the room. Successive moans and incoherent sounds were added as he thrust hard and deep inside her.

He loved how responsive she was to him, how her hands roamed freely to every part of him she could reach. Cradling his face when she kissed him, her tongue thoroughly explored his, her teeth nipping playfully at his lips. When they first met, he used to catch her staring at him, often zeroing in on his lips, then turn away shyly, cheeks stained red from being caught.

“Mesmerizing,” she had called his lips.

He found it endearing, and damn if he wasn’t flattered she thought he was “so hot,” as she told him recently. Ivy was the most beautiful thing he’d ever laid eyes on, even more so now, with her hair back to its natural red. Her curls spilled onto his shoulders as he held her tightly.

“Hurry,” she called out.

“You in a rush, Sweetheart?”

“Premonition… moms are coming over.” She moaned loudly. “Oh, right there.”

She didn’t need to tell him twice. The last thing he needed was to be overheard by their mothers. He and Ivy tended to get loud. His hurried pace and race to completion had Ivy screaming out his name in no time, and he followed.

“Do we have time for a quick shower?”

She looked gorgeous, standing there all dewy and naked in front of him.

“As long as there is no hanky panky,” she teased, giggling.

He threw her over his shoulder and playfully smacked her ass as he walked toward the bathroom.

“I’ll give you more hanky panky later.”

Twenty minutes later, Theo, Ivy, and their moms sat around Theo’s dining table, drinking coffee, when the moms dropped a bombshell.

“We’ve known since college that our children would be mates someday,” Poppy, Ivy’s mother, stated.

“What? How is that even possible?” Ivy asked. “Theo and I hadn’t even been born yet. And why didn’t you tell me when I told you about my dream?”

“Well,” Poppy began, then they spoke in unison, something about the wind telling her not to speak until now.

Ivy just rolled her eyes. Ivy then confessed that she had left out the part where she somehow made Theo appear by the tree.

Poppy and his mother were surprised.

Theo had never told his mother about being awoken from sleep when he was fifteen years old and transported to where he did not know. Besides, he appeared back home before it was time to get up for school.

“One day, the Shakespeare class Kim and I had together was canceled. She and I went to grab some lunch, and I had a premonition,” Poppy explained.

“We were in the middle of a conversation, and Poppy’s face just went blank,” Kim added.

“I saw two teenagers standing in a circle of floating leaves, a redheaded girl and a brown-haired boy. They were smiling at one another.”

Theo recalled smiling at Ivy in that circle. He was upset when he returned to his room without getting to know her, then disappointed he didn’t appear there again.

“The vision froze for a moment,” Poppy continued, “and I heard a whisper. One word… ‘destiny.’ It was easy for me to interpret the rest since I had the vision while alone with Kim. The redhead was clearly mine,” Poppy said, shaking out her own red curls. “And the boy was Kim’s.”

“We knew it was a journey you had to travel by yourselves,” Kim said. “That’s why we never said anything.”

Theo was grateful for his and Ivy’s journey. Their individual paths had led them to each other.

The End.
