“I looked into what you asked.” He glances over at me then back to Maverick. First thing, I know it’s been a little while, but we finally got that test back on the drugs that killed Scar.”

Maverick drops his pen and leans back in his office chair. “And?”

“Same drugs as we pulled off the dealer Terence met up with,” Boston says.

“I knew it,” Maverick grits out.

“And the other?” I ask. “The rat?”

He takes a breath. “You’re not gonna believe this shit. I pulled everyone’s cell numbers and focused specifically on the day they went missing.” He paused, grinding his jaw.

“I’m getting impatient Boston,” I growl.

“One just kept rubbing me the wrong way. Not two minutes after the girls left a text was sent to a random number. It was used a few times previously, but rare enough it raised a flag. I was able to track the number. It belongs to one of the Serpents. My guess is they were given the heads up they would be out and an easy target.”

“Who?” Maverick asks as he narrows his eyes.

“Chasity,” Boston spits.

“What the fuck?” I snap.

Maverick’s eyes widen and he slams a fist down on the desk. His chest heaves. “I knew she was fucking crazy. I didn’t think she would go this far.”

“What do you want to do?” Widow asks. Speaking for the first time since he walked into the room.

“I know what she deserves and if she was a man, I wouldn’t hesitate to do it.” Maverick stands and moves to the window. “We don’t kill women. Even under these circumstances.”

“We damn sure aren’t letting her off,” I bark.

“Fuck no. I want her gone. But I want to catch her off guard. And I want to make my point very clear,” Maverick says as he peers back at me.

I nod in understanding and look over to Widow who leans against the door frame. “This evening I will send her up to your room,” he says before slipping back into the shop.

“Thanks Boston, I appreciate it.” I say as I shake his hand and we disperse from the office, leaving Maverick staring out the window.

My mom had Tanner and Dani busy in the kitchen, per our request. We have some delicate business to handle. I’m sitting on the couch with Maverick when Chasity strolls through his bedroom door. She has a smile painted on her face as she prances towards us.

“Widow says you needed me?” She bites her lip on an attempt to be sexy. “I’ve got to say…I didn’t think you two would be into three play, but I guess y’all are full of surprises.”

I’m two seconds away from grabbing this bitch by the hair. Chasity is one club girl I’ve never touched.

Maverick stands and she moves to him with a wicked grin. She goes to place her arms around his neck when he snatches her wrist, pinning it behind her back.

She screeches and her eyes widen at his sudden movement. “I thought I made it very clear the last time we had a conversation regarding, Tanner,” he growls. “My fiancé,” he throws in as he pulls her wrist higher causing her to squirm.

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” she cries out.

“You set them up. You put my sister and the woman I love in danger.” His hands are shaking as he reaches up with his other hand to grip her chin.

I stand from the couch and walk over in front of her. “You see Maverick isn’t the only one who’d do anything for his girl.” She squirms again, trying to break free. “You’re lucky we don’t put a bullet between your eyes.”

She screams. Like that’s going to save her.

“Listen carefully, Chasity. You are going to disappear. I don’t give a fuck where you go as long as it’s far away from here. If anyone breathes a word of seeing you, or even hearing from you, I will make sure you are never seen again, do I make myself clear?” Maverick is inches from her face as he snarls his threat.

She nods excessively, finally understanding the weight of her actions. I go to the door and open it, letting Widow in.

He calmly walks over. Like always, he looks relaxed as he takes her by the arm. “Let’s go.”
