“Babe,” he whispered. “I think we should do it.”

Jo groaned and muttered over her shoulder. “You always think we should do it. I’ve got four kids to prove it.”

Dom laughed, and she rolled back to face him. He would never get tired of seeing that face. Even sleepy-eyed, grumpy, and not interested in sex, his wife was the most beautiful woman alive. Add to that her grit and brilliance, and he was a lucky man.

“I meant the apartments. I think we should do it.”

A sleepy but satisfied smile spread over Jo’s face, and he felt a tick of pride over making her happy.

“I knew you’d see it. You won’t be sorry.”

“Now do you wanna do it?” he teased, and she slapped his arm.

“No. Go to sleep. We can talk about an offer in the morning.”

“I’ve got an offer for you right now,” he said, tickling her neck with his whiskers and making her laugh. When she turned into his arms and kissed him back, Dom grinned. He really was a lucky man.
