“You’ll get used to it.” Rhys patted my thigh, and I was intensely aware of just how close his fingers were to my pussy.
My pussy that had been simmering with desire for the twins since the moment I laid eyes on them.
Stupid traitorous body.
I really needed to change the subject. Stat.
“So are we starting this tattoo today or not?” I blurted out, desperate to make the heat flooding my cheeks go away.
Anders gave me a knowing smirk, his lips tilting up just enough before Rhys saw it. “I’m ready. Let’s get your arm cleaned up and get the first stencil applied. We’ll start with the line work and see how far we get today.”
“Do you mind if I stay, Jen?” Rhys asked with the barest hint of vulnerability in his voice.
Coupled with the use of the soft nickname, I was almost ready to give him whatever he wanted in that moment.
“Will you let me squeeze your hand when he hits a painful spot?” Was that my voice? So flirtatious and inviting? Damn. It was. I was being bolder than I ever had before in my life.
“Absolutely.” Rhys moved to my right as Anders worked on cleansing my arm. A razor glided along my skin as he removed any hair. Then a gel to help the stencil adhere to me.
I had other tattoos. Not of this magnitude, but I still knew what to expect.
Yet, with Rhys on one side, his arm brushing over mine as his scent invaded my nostrils and imprinted on my brain, I barely even felt the needle as it made contact with my skin.
Anders moved quickly. He placed a respectable, and hot as fuck, pair of thick black framed glasses on his nose and got to work. He was in the zone, his hands moving with expert precision as he traced the fine lines. The tattoo took shape, and I barely even acknowledged the pain.
Rhys traced his fingers over my other arm, up to my collarbone and even my neck.
“Rhys,” Anders snapped as he lifted the needle from my flesh. “You’re giving her goosebumps, so cut it out.”
Heat flooded my cheeks again as I looked up at Rhys. “Don’t touch my neck,” I whispered. “Stick to the hands or forearms. Then no goosebumps.”
A devious smile tilted one side of his lips. “I’ll remember that for the future when you’re not getting something permanent drawn onto your skin.” He bent a little closer, his lips brushing over the shell of my ear. “But I’ll just say, while he’s paused, that I can’t want to make even more goosebumps crawl all over your body.”
Now the images came back. Being in the middle of a twin sandwich sounded really freaking good right about now.
Anders shook his head, lifting his glasses to scratch at his eyebrow with his middle finger. “Why did I let you stay?”
Rhys let out a snort of laughter. “You already know the answer to that.”
I arched my brows as my gaze traveled back and forth between the two of them. “Why do I feel like there is part of this conversation I’m missing?”
“Twin mojo.” Rhys winked.
Shaking my head, I just had to laugh.
How was it that after two hours in their presence that I already felt so connected to them?
Anders slid his glasses back down, then replaced his gloves. “Ready to get back to it?”
“Yes, please.” Give me pain and distract me from the hormones surging through my bloodstream.
