One more day. That’s all she had left. One more day before she’d have to pack up the heels, the short dresses, and the taste of freedom. To go back to carpool lines, grocery lists, and pretending everything was fine. She wasn’t ready.

The next morning the door swung open and in came Kelly, barefoot, glowing, and unapologetically smug. Her hair was a mess, her eyeliner smudged, but the smile on her face said she’d had the time of her life.

“Get ready, bitch,” Kelly grinned, kicking the bed lightly. “Rio told me to tell you he’s sending a car in thirty minutes. He has a whole day planned for all of us.”

Kylee blinked, sitting up with a rush of adrenaline. “Wait… what?”

“Yup,” Kelly said, already stripping off her clothes as she headed for the shower. “He’s not done with you yet. And neither is this city.”

Kylee’s pulse fluttered. Maybe New Orleans still had a little more magic left for her after all.

Kelly wrapped a towel around her dripping hair and padded back into the room, cheeks still flushed from the hot shower or maybe from the night she’d just had. She flopped dramatically onto the bed beside Kylee with a dreamy sigh.

“Okay,” she said, turning to her sister with a smirk. “I need to tell you everything.”

Kylee raised a brow, already amused. “You were glowing the second you walked in. Spill it.”

Kelly grinned, biting her lip. “Girl. That drummer? Insane. He had me up against the wall before the door even closed. It was sweaty, loud, and very, very illegal. I think I saw God at one point. Twice!”

Kylee laughed, her cheeks flushing. “Damn. Sounds like you lived my fantasy for me.”

Kelly sat up straighter, her expression shifting to mock offense. “Wait, why did you come back here last night? You could’vehad Rio. He practically begged. Jake cheated, remember? You should’ve gotten even. That man looked at you like he wanted to devour every inch of you.”

Kylee leaned back against the headboard, exhaling slowly. “I know. Trust me, I know.He leaned in to kiss me... and I wanted it. God, I wanted it so bad. But I pulled away.”

Kelly stared at her like she was crazy. “Why?!”

“I couldn’t do it,” Kylee murmured, her voice lower now, more vulnerable. “Even after everything Jake did… I couldn’t justify doing the same. I didn’t want it to be about him.I wanted it to be about me.”

Kelly blinked. “So… you just came back and cried into your pillow?”

Kylee let out a breathy laugh, shaking her head. “No, actually. I… got in the shower. I took my time. Annnnnd then I thought about Rio.” Her voice dropped a notch as she smirked at her sister. “And I had the best orgasm of my entire damn life.”

Kelly’s jaw dropped. “Shut up.”

Kylee just grinned, her cheeks pink but unapologetic. “I’m serious. I touched myself thinking about his voice, the way he looked at me, the way he said I deserved the best. And it just… happened. Fast. Deep. It was like my body didn’t even need permission.”

Kelly blinked, then burst out laughing. “Well damn, I guess you did get yours after all.”

Kylee smiled, the heat still lingering behind her eyes. “I guess I did. But still… part of me wonders if I made a mistake walking away.”

Kelly nudged her gently. “Lucky for you, it is not over. You’ve still got one more chance, sis. And something tells me… he’s not done with you yet.”

Kylee stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby, her dress fluttering around her thighs like it had its own agenda. Oversized sunglasses shielded her still-sleepy eyes, but nothing could hide the warm rush pulsing under her skin.

“Come on, slowpoke!” Kelly grinned, already halfway to the car. “Our rockstar day awaits!”

The door opened just as Kylee reached it, the driver greeting them both with a polite nod. “Miss Waterman. Miss Kelly. Mr. Riot is expecting you.”

Kylee tried not to flinch at the sound of her married name, but Kelly grabbed her hand and squeezed it, pulling her inside before she could dwell. The SUV was plush and cool, stocked with cold waters, champagne, and a tiny bouquet of white roses sitting on the seat between them.

“Okay, that’s hot,” Kelly whispered. “You sure you don’t want to ride him like a Harley before you leave New Orleans?”

Kylee shot her a look. “He tried to kiss me, remember? And I stopped it.”

“Yeah, and I’m still mad at you about it.”

Kylee bit her lip, gaze flicking to the roses. “He makes me feel like I’m seventeen again. Like I’m… dangerous.”
