“Now, you tell your sister that you are very, verysorry,” Walter ordered.
There men kept crying and grumbling.
“NOW!”Walter yelled.
Both brothers shuddered and trembled.
“I-I’m sorry,” Jordan muttered.
“Y-yes, I am too,” Caleb added.
“No, no,” Walter told them.“Sound like you mean it.”
They tried again, “I am sorry,” they voiced at the same time in quivering voices.
“What are you sorry for?”Celina finally spoke up.
The two men refused to look at her as they muttered expletives under their breaths.
Walter signaled Donald. Then they both stepped up, fists raised.
“No!No...”the men whined in utter fear.
“Tell her what you did wrong,” Walter fumed.
“We hit her...”Jordan hung his head.
“And?”Donald asked.
“And?”Caleb retorted back as he looked confused.
“What did you do that was wrong?”Walter asked in exasperation.
“We beat her up?”Jordan asked as if he were guessing.
“How many times?”she asked.
They both slowly shook their heads as they winced in pain.
Walter motioned to Donald.“They aren’t sorry yet.”He raised his gloves.
“NO!”Jordan pleaded.“No more, please?”
“How many times did you beat her up?”Walter repeated the question.
The two brothers hanging from the chains kept shaking their heads while looking confused.
“They don’t know,” Celina whispered.
Walter stepped over to where she sat.“Do you know how many?”
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she nodded and admitted the awful truth, “Twenty-five times since I was eight years old.”
Walter stared at her.“Twenty-five?”he asked slowly in a gasping breath as if he couldn't fathom this number.
Nodding her head, she cried.
Walter growled loudly as he flipped around to face the men hanging from the rafters. He glanced at Donald.
They both raised their gloved fists.
“On the count of one,” Walter stated loudly.
“Noooo!”Both King brothers screamed in terror.
