After a shower, I get changed, pulling my jeans up my thighs and wiggling into them, then doing up the zipper and button. I look up. Viper lies on the bed, relaxed, with his hands under his head and that cocky grin on his lips.

“What?” I ask.

“I’m here for the view. You have no idea how incredibly sexy you are. I can lie here and watch you get dressed over and over again.”

Warmth floods my chest, and I give him a smile, but it’s short-lived. “Crap! We were supposed to take the contract to Dad.”

“It’s okay, we will soon,” he replies in a soothing voice.

I push that thought away. “What are we doing now?”

“The men are cooking a barbecue for dinner, and we’re going to have a few celebratory drinks for Ava and Reaper. Then, later, the men will ensure the warehouse and everything is ready for tonight.”

“How bad is it going to be?” I cringe when recalling Twitch’s comments.

Viper stands and steps over to me. “You don’t have to go. You can stay here.”

My curiosity outweighs the reasons I should stay.

“Well… how about we just watch Rage’s fight?” Viper asks.

I give him a sharp nod and follow his sexy ass out of the room, through the house, and out to the barbecue. Viper goes in the direction of the barbecue, while I veer off to the women sitting around the table.

“I can help,” Ava says to the men by the barbecue.

“You’re not cooking. Please sit down and relax,” Reaper replies. He’s standing next to Bomber and Viper, beer in hand.

Ava’s lips purse. “Let me do a salad.”

“No,” Reaper says sternly. “The sweet butts have got it covered.”

Ava shifts in her seat. I can see that she’s dying to get up and help.

“Do you want me to make you a mocktail?” I offer as I take a seat next to Zara.

Ava gives me a kind smile. “Oh no, I’ve got my water, but thank you.” Her skin is glowing. She was complaining about vomiting, but she looks great.

“Being pregnant looks good on you.”

Ava sighs. “I feel terrible. I’m so bloated, and it’s not morning sickness at all. The vomiting comes on at any time, day or night.”

I’d like to uplift her mood. “When are we going baby shopping?” I ask.

Elena squeaks, doing a little side-to-side dance in her seat. The excitement is shining out of her.

Ava stares at the ground, a small frown on her face. “I want to err on the side of caution. So, not yet.”

“How about we do just a small shop then?” Elena offers.

I cock my head. “Small shop” is not in my vocabulary, though I didn’t promise it, Elena did.

Ava’s shoulders drop. “Okay. Just a few clothes.”

“Yes!” Elena cheers.

That gives me an idea, so while the women are talking, I move to the fire pit where Twitch, Axle, Cash, Rage, and Demon are sitting.

“How was thetruck ride?” I don’t miss the amusement dripping from Axle’s tone.
