“I should be angry you’re making me wait, but I understand it will be easier to explain it all once. I’ll text you after I talk to the girls and give you a time we’ll be by. Anything special you want to eat?”

“Nope,” I said, pulling my shirt up and over my head, letting it drop to the floor. “Whatever everyone else wants, I’m good with. I’ve got plenty of drinks here.”

“See you in a few hours!” Brystol said cheerfully.

“See ya later.”

I hit end, then set my phone on the counter. After reaching in and turning on the shower, I was about to step in when I heard my doorbell ring.

“Who in the hell?” I said as I grabbed my robe, tied it around my waist, and headed to the door, but not before grabbing my phone and pulling up the doorbell app. I came to a stop when I saw Liam standing there. Winnie wasn’t with him, and that caused my heart to nearly seize in my chest.

I rushed down the steps and wrenched the door open, and asked in a panic, “What’s wrong?”

He smiled. “Nothing.”

“Winnie is okay?”

“She’s fine. She’s with my dad.”

I let my eyes slowly take Liam in. He was wearing dark jeans and a black, long-sleeve shirt that fit him like a glove. My mouth nearly watered at how handsome he looked.

“Can I come in?”

I looked up and down the alley and saw no one there, so I motioned for him to come in. I wasn’t sure why I was worried since the entire town knew I had spent the night at his house.

Once the door shut, Liam turned and picked me up, causing me to let out a little scream, then a laugh as he raced up the steps.

“Liam, what are you doing?”

He set me down at the top of the steps, then reached for my hand, drawing me into the living room.

“When I realized that we would not be able to spend any…alone time…on this camping trip, I decided to do something about it.”

I giggled as I felt my cheeks turn hot. “Really? What did you have in mind?”

His eyes swept over me, and he walked forward. He reached for the belt I had tied around my waist and pulled it. When the robe fell open, he drew in a sharp breath of air.

“Fucking hell, you’re perfection.”

The urge to cover myself was almost overpowering, but I stood frozen, watching his eyes roam over my naked body as they turned dark with want.

He lifted his hands and pushed the robe off, letting it fall to the floor.

“I want to taste you, Aurora.”

Chewing nervously on my lower lip, I shook my head. “Liam, I haven’t showered since yesterday.”

He stalked toward me, causing me to take a few steps back until I was pressed against the wall.

As he bent down, he said, “I don’t care. I need to taste you. I’ve been dreaming about what you taste like for months.”

Before I could say anything, he bent and put my legs over his shoulders, causing me to let out a little scream as he slowly stood, lifting me as I remained pressed against the wall. He acted as if my one-hundred-and-thirty-pound body weighed nothing.

My heart raced as I dug my fingers into his hair. “Liam, I’m going to fall.”

“Trust me, baby, I would never let you fall.”

The feel of his hot breath against my sensitive skin and the words from his mouth had me dropping my head back against the wall. If I fell and died right now, it would be the perfect way to go.
