“We could all rent out a cabin together and have some fun,” Anne adds.

“Yes! We just need to find when it works for all of us.” The girls all nod, agreeing.

I never thought about skiing, but if Natalie is going, I’m going, too. Still, I know this group of people pretty well, and this will probably be another idea that never makes it out of the group chat.

By the end of the night, Noah leaves to meet up with Alex. They’re still casual but obviously still seeing each other. It’s looking more serious than he lets on, but I might be projecting. Anne catches a ride with Rina and Connor, since she’s on their way, and Natalie and I are left last to exit the bar.

“You need a ride?” I offer.

“No, thanks. My car’s right here.”

“But you were drinking, no?”

“Not really. I don’t really drink much.” Her gaze shifts to the side.

“What do you mean? I’ve seen you get tipsy a bunch of times.” I give her shoulder a nudge, jokingly.

“Oh, that’s just my vibrant personality.” Her lips turn up. “Truth is, I’ll drink a glass or two, but never more. Not anymore.” Her voice gets low by the end, and I sense there’s a story there.

“Ok. Let me walk you to your car.” My hand finds its way to the small of her back. It fits there perfectly, and a zing of possessiveness courses through me. As if sensing it, she shivers under my touch.

She unlocks her car and steps inside. Our eyes lock, and a breath escapes her. I lean into the car door to say goodbye, but she pulls me by my shirt, pressing her soft lips to mine. She tastes of cherries, and suddenly they’re my favorite fruit.

Control is hard to find, so I enter her mouth, our hot tongues battling. She moans into my mouth, and the sound goes straightto my dick. My rock-hard dick begging to join. Fuck, we’re in a parking lot.

I release her mouth and press my forehead to hers. The sounds of our heavy breaths fill the otherwise empty lot.

“We should probably stop,” I say.

“What? You’re done with public adventures?” She bites into her lip, and I need to shake my head to stop myself from fucking her right there.

“Our luck of not getting caught is bound to run out sometime.” And I’m not sure what I would do if some creep were to see us. See her.

“Guess I’ll see you Monday, then.” She winks and closes the car door.

I was hoping to go back to my place, but maybe it would be too much for her. We did just have sex yesterday, after all.

My need for her is never-ending, but I can’t expect she’s feeling the same.

NATALIE

Monday morning, Matt leaves the office for appointments right after the morning meeting. Staying away from him at work is a strain on my self-control, so not having to look at his hot, focused, bespectacled face is a nice surprise.

I’m hoping his absence sends a message to my lady parts, telling them to chill the fuck down.

After the bar, I was hoping for him to make a move. But no, the gentleman inside him is too strong. For now.

I was the one who made the first move last week, and it’s his turn now. I don’t mind taking what I want, but I want him to drop the gentleman act and do something about it.

Luckily, I’m too swamped with work to dwell on it. Everything for the gala is going great, but between that and my regular work, my to-do list is endless. There are big expectations with this year’s gala, and I’m doing my best to meet them.

“How’s everything going, Natalie?” Kiara asks as I sit down in her office. Her desk is immaculate, as usual, making this weathered, old office look professional.

“Everything’s going as planned. The countdown campaign on our social media has been going on for a month, but the posts will get more frequent as the event nears.” I check my planner, so I’m sure I mention everything. “I’m doing collabs with other organizations and trying to pique the interest of the media. I’m also trying to find brands to sponsor our event.” With this year’s theme, there is a clear direction for the potential brands, so I’m using a lot of my spare time researching them.

“I see. And with the gala planning? Everything’s going, OK?”
