I crushed my lips to hers, feasting on that delicious mouth for the second time today. She let out an insistent little moan that made my cock twitch in my jeans. I gripped her hips and moved her until she was straddling my lap. She pressed her entire body against me as our tongues battled. I slid one hand down her back to cup her ass, and she began tugging insistently at my shirt.

“Am I interrupting something?”

We jumped apart to find Finn leaning against the doorway casually.

“Fuck, make a little noise before you walk in on people, will you?” I griped.

Grace’s face was bright red, her hands folded primly in her lap as she avoided Finn’s gaze.

“Pizza’s here,” was all he said. He turned around and headed back up the stairs. “You wanted pineapple on yours, right?” he called out.

“Asshole,” I called back.

“I can’t believe he walked in on us.” Grace buried her hands in her face with a humiliated groan.

“He’s seen worse,” I shrugged. “At least our clothes were on.”

Grace shot me a look of disbelief. “Is that supposed to make me feel better?”

It had been, but apparently I’d failed on that count. I stood from the sofa and held out a hand to her.

“You up for pizza with the gang?” I asked.

“I don’t want to intrude if this is a family kind of thing,” she said.

Family.

My chest ached, and not in a bad way. Grace really did understand me.

I tugged her to her feet and buried my hands in her hair to pull her close and devour her mouth again. I kissed her until she was breathless and squirming.

The words were right there. Right on the tip of my tongue, so close to the surface I could practically taste them.

Grace, I—

She clutched my shoulders and made that sexy little noise that drove me crazy.

Grace, I lov—

“You coming, or what?” Finn’s voice echoed down the stairs. “I’m going to eat your share if you don’t get up here.”

I came back to myself with a jolt.

Grace pulled away. My arms were too limp from shock to stop her.

What. The. Fuck.

What the fuck had I just been thinking?

Too soon. It was way too soon to be having any of…those… kinds of thoughts.

I’d just been caught in the moment. That was all. Right? The music had gotten to me, that was all.

I nodded to myself. Right.

Just a brief moment of insanity.

“I guess we better go,” Grace said. “Or they’re all going to start wondering what we’re doing down here all alone.”
