“Usually I can’t wait to get into the studio,” he said. “But now I’d give anything to spend the rest of the day with you.”
My heart lifted, hearing his words echo my thoughts.
“Maybe the next time you’re free we can go for dinner?” I asked.
Seth’s face lit up like sunshine peeking through the clouds. It wasn’t his usual manic or wicked grins. The curve of his lips was sweet, almost shy.
“I'd love that,” he said.
Seeing that sunny expression, knowing that I’d put it there, made me feel weightless and light.
I knew I’d do anything to see that look on his face again.
