“Chicken alfredo pizza!”
I furrow my brow, a smile permanent on my face. “That’s your favorite food?”
“It is now because you brought it for me,” she declares.
I chuckle so hard we both jiggle.
“My turn,” she says. “I hope your favorite color isn’t red.”
I shake my head. “Nope. Navy.”
“Movie?”
“Bad Boys.”
“I’ve never seen that.”
“We can watch it together sometime.”
“Is it scary?”
“No. It’s funny.”
“Okay. Then it’s a date. Can we watch it tomorrow?”
I laugh. “Yes, princess. We can watch it tomorrow evening.”
Her smile is so bright it’s going to split her face. I’ve never seen her smile like this. She’s always timid and nervous at the club.
“What’s your favorite food?”
“Chicken alfredo pizza, of course.”
She laughs hard, tipping her head back. No one would know she has any sensory issues. Not right now. Not while she’s sitting on my lap.
When she finally sobers a bit, she sets her hands on my shoulders and meets my gaze. “Are you really coming over again tomorrow?”
“Yes, Baby girl. Every night if you’ll have me.” I slide my hands around to her back again.
“I don’t happen to have any plans this week,” she teases before glancing away. “You don’t really have to go to my parents’ house for dinner.”
I pull her closer. “I’m going to your parents’ house with you, princess. I’m going everywhere with you. We’re a team now.”
Chapter Nine
Josie
I’m pacing my small apartment Friday night, waiting for Daddy to arrive. He’s been here every night since last Friday. That makes tonight our eighth date if I count the night of the party at the Dungeon. And since he did bring me home, see me naked, and tuck me into bed, I count that night. Daddy does too.
Normally on Friday nights we go to the Dungeon, but tonight we’re going to Daddy’s house instead. I’m going to stay over. For the entire weekend. I’m so nervous but also excited. I know he has made some changes because he’s told me about them throughout the week.
He has a nursery for me. At first that caused me to panic, but he says lots of Littles have nurseries. It’s more of a playroom where I can keep all my toys and take naps. He says when we start sleeping together, I will sleep in his bed at night, but Little girls still need a special room to take naps in.
We’re going to my parents’ house for dinner on Sunday night, but I’m trying not to think about that. I know it will be fine. It’s not like my parents don’t know I’m Little. And theyknow about Chase. I think they will love him when they get to know him.
I already love him. But I haven’t told him that, and I haven’t told my mom when she calls. I don’t want her to think I’m rushing into this. I know she already thinks things are moving fast between us since he comes over every night.
A knock at the door makes me jump and spin around. He’s here. I rush over, peek out the peephole, and then open the door.
