I watched him move through the kitchen as if he were born in it.
He watched me watching him, smiling at me over his shoulder, “My grandma taught me how to cook. She refused to let me go out into the world without this knowledge. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for it. How much money have I saved by cooking at home?”
I smiled, “My grandma taught me a little. Creed is better at it than me.”
“I love to cook, so if you never want to lift another finger in the kitchen, you don’t have to.”
“I would like to cook still, but maybe together?”
He grinned at me, “That’s a deal I can’t refuse.”
We ate dinner in companionable silence before Ridge took me back up to bed, making love to me once more before we both fell asleep.
In the morning, I felt Ridge get up, and I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes.
Ridge leaned over to kiss me, “I have to go practice.”
I sighed, “I wish I could see you at the field, but I know that they would think I’m spying for the other team.”
Ridge snorted, “I couldn't care less if they think you, are a spy. I don’t want to hide us.”
“How about we figure out more after you get back from practice? I have to head home tomorrow morning.”
Ridge kissed me once more, “Stay here. Look around the house, watch movies. Do whatever you want. I will be back in a few hours.”
I smiled at him, “I will.”
He walked out of the room, looking back at me once more before disappearing around the door.
I lay back in bed, knowing I had slept better last night than I had in a long time.
It had to have been because Ridge held me tightly all night after wearing my body out thoroughly.
I was sore today, my muscles and my pussy. I knew I would need time to recover, but if Ridge walked back in here right now, I would let him take me again. More than once.
I smiled. Ridge was finally mine.
I loved it. I looked down at the bed, knowing we had finally got each other.
I shut my eyes, loving that I got the man of my dreams.
Chapter Five
Ridge
Iwent to the stadium, my heart, body, and soul lighter than they had been in a long time.
I changed into my gear quickly, ready for practice to start, so that I could go home to my girl.
She was there. In my house. The one I bought for us so that we could have our future that I knew she wanted with me now.
Denver walked into the locker room. “What happened with the girl from yesterday?”
I looked over at him, “My girl? She is in my house right now.”
Denver coughed, “You’re kidding?”
I shook my head, “I told you about her yesterday. She is my world. I have been waiting for her for a long time.”
