When he met Remedy, she was nothing but a broken-ass girl shaking her ass in the strip club. She had no ambition, no motivation or purpose. He got her out the strip club and put her up in a nice-ass apartment in Chicago. She had it so good, she didn’t even know what a fucking bill looked like.
He loved her, but with his status in the streets elevating, his paper got longer, and that came with more hoes. He fucked off here and there, but everybody in the Chi knew Remedy was his main bitch. Still, it was never respected. Tone had all types of bitches coming to her as a woman and humiliating her all over social media. Remedy was basically a clown. He would sweet talk her into forgetting the fact that he was fucking every bitch who was willing to hop on his dick.
The abuse didn’t start until Remedy decided to pursue her career as a barber. She had quit school before she even gave it a chance, but cutting hair had always been a passion of hers because of her father, Deno. She stacked up enough money from the allowance Tone paid out to her to cover half of her tuition. When Tone found out that she was actually getting into barbering, he lost his shit. Her pursuing her dream was out of the realm of control he wanted her stuck in. He refused to give her any more money in hopes of preventing her from being able to pay the rest of her tuition to continue the courses to gain her license. By the grace of God, Deno was able to pay off her remaining balance, and when Tone found out that Remedy made it happen without him, he choked her out so bad that she passed out and pissed herself.
He then apologized and gaslit her into thinking she stripped him of his pride by going around him to her father, which madehim react the way he did. He manipulated her into forgiving him, and she thought he would never lay hands on her again, but boy, was she fucking wrong. Each apartment or house they stayed in turned into a fucking war zone. Remedy refused to let him just beat her down like she was weak. She may not have been stronger than him, but she fought back, no matter how aggressive he got. The abuse had been going on for two years, and right when Remedy thought she could leave him for good, her father died suddenly in a car crash.
Her world as she knew it changed immediately. She was now left to bare the load of responsibilities her father left her while she was still stuck under Tone’s control. Her life was exhausting to say the least, and Tone did nothing but destroy her. When Deno died, she had no choice but to move back to Miami. She thought it would give her the perfect out to get away from Tone, but he managed to convince his big homie Scrap to expand out to Miami. Tone was running the Zone 7 Disciples out in South Florida, and Remedy could never escape him.
“You always been a hoe,” he spat in disgust. “You fuck any nigga who throws a few dollars at you.”
Remedy pursed her lips as salty tears continued to stream down her face. Like any other time, he had to degrade her and strip her of all her dignity.
“So, what? You gave some bum-ass nigga some pussy and thought he was about to put you up and you were gonna leave me?”
Remedy said nothing in return. Her silence angered him.
Swiftly, the gun went up, and he pressed the barrel of it against her temple. “Answer the fucking question, Remedy!”
She clenched her eyes shut, afraid he was capable of pulling the trigger at any moment. “No!” she replied, her voice rattled with fear.
“I should fucking kill your ass right now!” he snarled while roughly pushing her head with the gun. “You ungrateful-ass bitch! I had you in the flyest shit! Paid all your fucking bills! I turned you up to the bitch you are today! I don’t get shit in return besides dry-ass pussy and fucking complaining! Then you go fuck another nigga soon as I leave town! Bitch, is you cool?! You must be missing a few fucking screws like your crazy, dumb-ass mama if you think I’m about to let that shit slide!” he continued to rant.
From the corner of her eyes, Remedy could see the bulging vein that surfaced on his forehead. He was seething, and she couldn’t even begin to imagine the pain she was about to be in once he was through with her.
He kept his gun aimed at her the entire drive to the house. Remedy thought about jumping out of the car while it was moving, but the anger that was in his eyes let her know he probably would’ve shot her dead right in the middle of the street.
“Get the fuck out,” he ordered once he set the car in Park in front of the house.
Remedy shakily opened the door, trying her best to stall. She knew there would be no way out once she entered the house. He was going to put her through hell and make her wish she were dead. Stepping out of the car, he yanked her into the home and locked up behind her.
Remedy quickly tried to run to Melo’s old room to lock herself inside, but Tone got a good grip on her hair and yanked her down to the floor. Her body hit the hardwood floors of the home with a loud thud. His closed fist collided with her beautiful face, immediately triggering her nose to bleed.
She screeched in agony as she used her hands to catch the blood that gushed from her nose. “Tone, please! I’m sorry!” she wailed while desperately trying to back away from him. She couldn’t even think of why she was the one apologizing to him.All she did was come to terms with her worth and find a man who was willing to give her what she needed. She shouldn’t have been the one apologizing, but at this point, she was willing to say anything to keep herself alive.
Her apologies fell onto deaf ears. He plowed his fist into her face with blow after blow. She put her arms up to block the punches he was throwing, but he grabbed her hair and began dragging her along the floor of the foyer and through the living room.
“You dirty-ass bitch! How many dicks you had to suck to get your nutty-ass mama and goof-ass little brother out my fucking house?!”
Remedy said nothing. She curled herself up in a ball in the fetal position, whimpering in the agonizing pain he left her in. She was sure her nose was broken because the blood that gushed out of it seemed uncontrollable. She was quick to bruise, so she could physically feel her eyes beginning to swell shut.
“Answer me, you dumb-ass bitch!” He kicked her in her stomach, causing her to cough.
In that moment, her mind had completely disconnected from the agonizing pain he was inflicting onto her. Mentally, she could no longer be present to the suffering. Her mind drifted off to Kross. He had been the best thing that happened to her in a while, and to think she almost allowed her circumstances and life troubles to push him out of her life made her angry with herself. Every moment with him was blissful. From them just talking about life and laughing, down to whenever he was deep inside of her and giving her his all. He was the true definition of a man, and she was grateful for the time they spent together.
Her thoughts were cut into by Tone snatching her up from the floor. His hand wrapped around her neck before he roughly tossed her into the nearby wall. The impact her body madeagainst the wall caused the framed decorative photos to fall to the floor and shatter.
Through her swollen, bloodshot eyes, she could see Tone charging at her with his gun aimed at her. A piercing scream sounded out of her as he lifted the gun and attempted to pistol whip her. She managed to put her arms up to guard her face just in time.
“Tone, please! You’re killing me!” she wept defeatedly.
“You deserve to die, you grimy-ass bitch!” he spewed, full of hatred.
Because the gun didn’t land against her face, he punched her right in the gut, causing her to double over and throw up all over the floor. His hand quickly tangled within her dark tresses, and he dragged her to the kitchen. She pleaded and implored him to show her mercy. She even promised to never do it again, but Tone wasn’t hearing none of that. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to kill Remedy or just beat her to a pulp. Whichever it was, he wasn’t going to stop until he saw fit.
Remedy could feel her strength dwindling. Her vision was obscured by the swelling in her eyes, and the blood from her nose had yet to stop. She grabbed onto the counter to keep herself from tumbling down. On the counter was a knife she was sure Ava left behind. She never put anything back in its rightful spot due to her fuzzy memory. In this moment, Remedy was grateful for that.
She gripped the knife in her hand before recklessly whipping it around in hopes of stabbing Tone. He quickly jumped back, fast enough to keep her from stabbing him, but she still managed to slash his chin with the blade of the knife.
