Tyler pulled himself free. “Not yet. He’s calling in at Bruce’s before he arrives.”
“Fucking hell. I don’t know why he doesn’t move in. He’s been there all week.”
“Mean. His friend is ill. He wanted things to be perfect for him coming home.”
“What a doll.”
“You’re a sarcastic bitch.”
Scott shook his head. “I actually meant it. He seems like Mr Perfect. Are you happy?”
Tyler considered it for second. “I am,” he said. “I really am. Plus he says he’s got a present for me.”
“I can imagine what that will entail,” Scott replied. “Don’t bloody blame you either.”
“Shut up,” Tyler said. “I think I might be falling for him. Don’t repeat that whatever you do.”
“Good on you. I’ll be waiting here patiently for my prince to show.”
Tyler hugged him. “He’ll come. When you least expect it.”
“Not if I’m wearing dry clean only, he won’t.”
They collapsed into fits of giggles.
“Why am I hosting on my own?”
They turned to see Eddie standing in the doorway.
“Oh, come here, you miserable twat,” Scott said, holding his arm out.
Eddie joined them in a three-person hug.
“How much has he had to drink?” Eddie asked.
“The night is young, Edward.”
“Thanks, guys,” Tyler said. “For everything.”
They embraced for a second. How had he got this lucky?
“Right, enough emotion,” Eddie said. “We have an eager public to dazzle.”
Scott held up the bottle of fizz in his hand. “Let’s shine.”
About an hour later, Tyler’s phone vibrated.
“Danny’s outside. He wants me to go down for some reason,” Tyler said to Scott.
“I’ll get him a beer or something equally as manly.”
Tyler ran down the stairs and walked out onto the street. There was Danny with a kilowatt smile and gorgeous set of drawers with a helium balloon attached that readyHappy New Home.Danny looked incredible in tight blue jeans and a pink T-shirt. His solid body firmly on display.
Tyler had gone for a pair of mustard shorts and a Breton-striped long-sleeve.
“What’s all this?” Tyler asked as he walked forward.
“A room warming present,” Danny replied. “From me to you.”
