I nodded. “So good.”

We kissed and then rinsed off under the water. Once we stepped out of the shower, we toweled off, and when I met his eyes in the steamy mirror over the sink, I laughed shyly.

He looped his arm around my waist. “I love you.” His dark gaze was earnest.

 “I love you too.”

“I even love this little town now. All because it reminds me of you.”

 I smiled. “I’m glad.”

“What do you say we go house hunting this weekend?”

 Surprised, I frowned. “Really?”

“Yep. I want to put down roots. With you.” He bit his lip. “What do you say?”

“I say yes. That sounds amazing.” I was excited that he’d made that decision. There had always been a part of me that wondered why he still used San Luis Obispo as his home base. But I’d figured it was because that was where his mom lived.

“I’m always here anyways. I hate leaving.”

“Then don’t.” I put my arms around his neck. “Don’t ever leave.”

 “I won’t, Seth.” He kissed me gently. “I won’t.”
