With a flick of his thumb, she shuddered into his hand, gasping for breath as a powerful orgasm surged through her core. She tilted her hips a fraction, so he could satisfy her with a deeper connection.

His deep sultry growl made her chest rise off the bed bringing her mouth to his shoulder and her nails to his back. She panted hysterically, unable to scream as her teeth dug into his skin.

Before she floated back to reality, he pushed her back to the mattress and held her jaw between his fingers and thumb.

“This time, you’ll do what I ordered. You’ll yell forme, Lana.” His eyes narrowed holding her captive with his authority.

Sliding his fingers across her cheek, he pushed them deep into her mouth, so her lips stretched wide and her own musky taste mixed with saliva. His hand pulled away and he lightly tapped her cheek.

“You’ll do as I say,” he commanded with a bark.

Her breathing became quick sharp bursts when he leant across the bed and snatched a condom from the nightstand. He peeled open the foil with the same speed as she tugged off her tee, letting the cold air pebble her nipples.

The shadows were no longer a threat as her building need became overwhelming.

“If my name doesn’t pass these lips loud enough, then I’ll fucking make sure it does after.” The look on his face was stern and stormy like he was battling his own demons.

Her heart leapt into her throat as his fingers rubbed over her lips, then dragged across her cheeks and threaded the lengths of her hair, holding her head securely before him.

Locking eyes, Marcus held her gaze and repeated, “I want my name to spill out of your dirty little mouth. Got it?”

Lana nodded wildly, anticipating the feeling of him buried deep inside her. The tip of his cock pressed against her entrance, then bit by bit, he shunted forward until he filled her completely.

She craved his lips all over her tingling skin, but his pensive gaze waited for her reaction. Plunging in and out, Marcus growled with a savage roar. His hands moved to her wrists, pushing them into the mattress with an unforgiving grip.

A powerful intensity built to the point of a sudden explosion in her core. She yelled his name, not because he ordered her to, but because he was her everything.

Marcus was the one thing she longed for. The only man who could torture her with pleasure, wrap her in safety and guard her from the shadows.

As soon as his name arced through the electrified air between their hot bodies, Marcus pumped into her quivering insides with a dominant fierceness that she had come to expect. His forehead dropped to the hollow of her neck as he snarled with a release.

“Fuck sake, Lana. I tried to keep a distance for your own good.” He bit out, and as he did so, the sexy sound of a low chuckle encased her heart and squeezed. Taking each hand in turn, he pressed a tender kiss to the insides of her wrists. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.

His warm lips kissed away the hideous memories of duct tape and his loving touch banished the fact she was once held prisoner by a mad man.

“You didn’t hurt me, far from it. I needed to feel something other than fear, Marcus.”

A lingering apprehension of the shadows returned, making her body tense when he lifted from the bed to dispose of the condom. Pulling the sheet over her prickled skin, she nestled into the pillow and watched his confident strides return to the bed.

“Marcus.”

“Uh-huh?” he hummed, settling on his back and closing his eyes.

“How did you know where I was?”

“I have a tracking device on all my vehicles. It’s linked to an app on my phone.”

She knew he was exhausted because his usual sultry tone was all but a gruff murmur. “Marcus…I’m sorry I left here that day, after I had promised to stay. I know it looked like I was running back to my ex, which technically I was, but I wanted to find out the truth and then help him, if I could.”

His eyelids blinked open and his head swivelled to face her. The softness to his features tightened. “You broke your promise.”

She swallowed, feeling a pang of guilt ripple in her chest. “I know, and I’m sorry.”

The corners of his mouth straightened and he swept a hand over his face. “Don’t worry about it.” He squeezed his eyes shut again like he wanted to block out the world.

Lana took a deep steadying breath. “Marcus?”

“I said, don’t worry about it.” His tone dropped to sub-zero.
