“You’d do that?”

“How many times do I have to tell you, this is about you, baby?”

“I’m a blank canvas.” I pause, then give him a one-shoulder shrug. “Turn me intoyourmasterpiece.”

The searing flames in his brown eyes turn them dark, almost black.

“Did I just make a deal with the devil?” I ask.

“Close.”

“Please don’t taint my soul,” I beg.

“When I’m done with you, there’ll be no doubt who owns you… and that includes your soul.”

“That sounded so primitive, Wolfe.”But, I can’t tell you how sexy it was.

“It’s a promise I intend on keeping, Dom.”

A delightful ribbon of pleasure twines through me, tingling my senses.

“Possessive much?” I challenge. “After all, it’s only for one night.”

It’s good to keep things in perspective or else I might lose my head.

“That’s all I need to ruin it for all the others, Dom,” he says, pinning me with his stare. The depth of his expression lets me know he’s dead serious.

His words cause my pussy to throb like crazy.

“Asshole.”

“You can throw that in my face the next time you come your head off.” I blink my surprise. “And you will come again.”

I swallow hard.

He’s been repeating that, but I honestly thought he was joking. Clearly, I’m wrong. It’s a miracle he made me come once. I doubt it will happen twice in one night. I don’t share my thoughts with him for fear they’ll only fuel him.

His overconfidence might be misconstrued as arrogance, but then again, we’re talking about Rod Wolfe. And frankly, he’s raised the bar so high for the next guy, I doubt anyone else will dethrone him. Ever.

“Come on, I need to get started onmymasterpiece,” he says before crushing my lips.

Without warning, he lifts me in his arms. I wrap mine around his neck and nestle my head in the crook of his neck. He climbs the stairs and makes his way to the end of the hallway. He enters my bedroom and drops me to my feet with care. He walks to the nightstand to turn on the light. I cock an eyebrow. He responds with a dazzling smile. He does it again with the second lamp. I scan the room, adjusting to the new scenario.

I’m half naked and I have a gorgeous man standing in my bedroom. What’s wrong with this picture?

Rod has been up here countless times, but this is different. Something transcendent is about to take place and there’s no going back.

I’m still in a daze when it becomes clear his eyes are on me.

“I want to see your beautiful face when you climax,” he explains.

“That’s a lot of pressure. What happens if I suffer from performance anxiety?” I joke.

He explodes in laughter.

“You kill me, Dom.” He closes the gap between us. “Let me lay your concerns to rest. It won’t happen.”

“And you can guarantee that, Wolfe?”
