“Adley…” His voice was ragged, and his hand braced against the desk as I reached for his belt.
“You swore a lot of things,” I said softly, and unfastening the buckle with fingers that shook from wanting.“And we’ve broken every one of them.”
His breath hissed out as I tugged his jeans open.“You don’t know what you’re doing to me.”
I met his gaze, and heat curled through me.“I know exactly what I’m doing.”
He groaned when I freed him, thick and heavy in my hand.Already hot and hard against my palm.My mouth watered as I stroked him.Slow at first while I watched the way his head tipped back, and the muscles in his neck strained.
“Christ, Adley,” he rasped.
I leaned forward with my lip parted, and the taste of him flooded my tongue.Salty, intoxicating, and addictive. He cursed as his hand tangled in my hair. Not pushing, just holding on like I was the only thing tethering him to the ground.
I took him deeper, hollowing my cheeks, and savored the ragged sound he made. His hips jerked, barely controlled, and his other hand slammed against the desk for balance.
“You’re gonna kill me,” he groaned. His voice broke as I set a rhythm, hand and mouth working together, sliding, teasing, devouring.
I moaned around him, and the vibration made him shudder. He tugged my hair gently, and forced me to look up.His eyes were black fire, and locked on mine.“Mine,” he growled.“You’re mine, little dove.”
The words sent a sharp ache of need straight through me, and I took him deeper.Swallowing him down until he cursed and his whole body went taut. His release hit hard, spilling over my tongue, and I took every drop. The sound of his groans burned into my memory.
When I finally pulled back, I wiped my lips with the back of my hand, and my chest was heaving. He looked wrecked.Flushed, jaw clenched, and eyes still wild.
“Adley…” He hauled me up, kissing me hard, and tasting himself on my lips like he couldn’t get enough.
I clung to him with my legs trembling and the desk digging into my hips.
“We can’t keep doing this,” he said against my mouth, though his hands were still on me, gripping and pulling me closer.
“Yes, we can,” I whispered.“Because we want to.Because we need to.”
He pressed his forehead to mine and closed his eyes.“Tomorrow.Just you and me.No hiding.A whole day where it’s just us.”
I swallowed, my heart thudding.“Promise?”
“Promise,” he said and sealed it with a kiss that was softer, slower, but no less consuming.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Mason
It was just past noon, and the clubhouse was alive with noise.Carnie was banging around in the kitchen, shouting at anyone who came near her pans. The smell of bacon grease and roasted garlic drifted into the common room, mixing with the faint bite of motor oil and leather that never left this place.
I was parked in one of the big chairs, legs stretched out, nursing a coffee that had gone cold an hour ago.Around me, every damn seat was full.
Wrecker leaned against the wall, arms crossed, looking like he’d rather be anywhere but stuck inside waiting for Alice and Nikki to arrive.Brinks and Cora were in the corner, him muttering about how much he hated the cameras while she tried to soothe him with a hand on his leg.Thorn was behind the bar, rag in hand, polishing glasses that were already spotless.
And then there were the younger guys.
Cole sat on the arm of the couch, Nickel and Karmen’s kid, tall and lean with his mom’s sharp eyes.He was twenty-three and still had that hungry energy, the kind that made me feel every one of my forty-three years.Arlo was next to him, quieter, slouched with his hood pulled low, but every time someone cracked a joke, he fired back with a one-liner that had us all laughing.Oliver sprawled beside him, Pipe’s oldest, grinning like he owned the damn room.He had that cocky charm that came with being twenty-five and thinking the world bent around you.
Jude, Kingston, Fox, Ender, and Basil were crowded around the pool table, chalking cues and talking shit like it was a competitive sport.
I sat back, watched all of them, and it hit me that it wasn’t often we had every man under this roof at the same time.Between the original members, and the younger generation, it was a full house.
“Hell,” I muttered, and tipped my cup toward Wrecker.“We oughta just throw Eden’s damn graduation party today.Everyone’s already here.”
Oliver barked a laugh.“Yeah, let’s do it.Save ourselves the work.”
