“It is,” he says. “Let’s get off the boat, and we can get that taken care of.”
We go upstairs to the top deck before he leads me off and onto a dock. Everything is beautiful. The air smells clean, and my mind is at peace. I never realized just how suffocating Ossara really was until now. We get off the dock and walk down a gravel path.
“How far do we have to go?” I ask.
“Not far,” he says. “Our home is on the beach.”
“Our?”
“Yes,” he says. “Unless you’d rather live elsewhere.”
“No. No. With you is good,” I say.
“Do you still want to stab me?” he asks with a grin.
“Not really,” I smile. “I’d much rather you be inside of me.”
“You know what that is, right?”
“What?” I ask.
“That is the connection,” he says. “It will make you unbelievably horny. Both of us, actually. I was thinking the urge would go away, but I could live inside of you.”
“I will happily be your new home,” I say sweetly.
We step off the gravel path and make our way to the front door. When we go inside, Ren is sitting on the couch.
“Hey. She didn’t kill you in your sleep,” he smiles.
“I’d rather other things happen during sleep,” I shrug. Clearly, he knows that Zev fucked me like a horny, rabid bear. Does he know that his brother has a dick the size of my arm? How does it fit inside of me? I wonder if it would be just as pleasurable if he took my ass. Would I like sucking his cock if I had a choice? So much to learn, but I’m free now. I have my whole life to learn things with him.
Should I be upset that he did that while I was sleeping? Probably, but it’s almost like I inherently know that he won’t hurt me. On the flip side, he is over seven feet tall, and I’ve always been taught that beyond the walls are cannibals and savages. I don’t think we were ever told what a savage was. Being grouped with a cannibal, I guess, is what made it sound bad.
“Would you like me to explain the story of the savages?” Zev asks.
“What? Oh, right. Yeah,” I say.
“About fifty years after the Great War, they started the Hydrovita. The people of Torvex weren’t falling for it. Our ancestors were essentially banished behind the wall they were building. They initially went to the mountains and would kill anyone who came too close. They got so hungry that they started to sacrifice themselves for others to eat. Eventually, they moved to the coast and then to this island. This was one of the few lucky spots that wasn’t completely destroyed, so the people of Torvex were able to thrive and repopulate. Over time, the abilities appeared. Over the course of ten years, they were fully developed,” he explains. “So yes, they were angry and forced to do awful things to survive, but that is not all the people of Torvex are known for. We were the first to cure all cancers. We developed the healing wipe that Ossara uses.”
“So they were kicked out for not wanting to be manipulated?” I ask. “That’s dumb.”
“It is,” he says. “Our goal is to free the people of Ossara. There is an entire world out there that is coming back from the war. They still have so much to learn.”
“I wish I could help,” I say. “I just don’t know how.”
“First, we need to bring out your abilities and help you control them,” Ren says. “You also need to learn how to swim.”
“Pass,” I frown, making both of them laugh.
“No, you do. You need to be able to get back to the boat with or without Zev,” he says with a smile. “Abilities first, though. They could very well help you in that respect.”
“How do I get them?” I ask.
“We do certain things to help trigger them,” Zev says. “Let’s take care of this brand first.”
“We have a meeting with everyone after a while,” Ren says. “Let’s handle this brand, okay?”
“Yes, please,” I say. “Can you replace it?”
