Sebastian
Six days later
Leaning against the wall, Iwatch Devin as she sits in the corner of the couch, curled up in a ball, clutching her cup of coffee as our families all sit around the fireplace, surrounded by wrapping paper and gifts.
It’s been a long, harrowing few weeks for us all, and Christmas and New Year’s had been entirely overlooked. Madison declared we have a late Christmas, bringing everyone together to start healing and moving into the new year. I’m still not used to seeing her and Jax together. But seeing them all smiles, cuddled into a heap on the floor, happier than I’ve ever seen the two of them, feels as right as Devin and me. While I wanted to be mad at them for going behind my back, apparently for a really long time, I couldn’t. Life is too short not to be with the one you love. This whole experience with Crystal has put so much into perspective for me.
Devin’s injuries were substantial but not life-threatening, thank God.
She had a four-inch, deep knife wound to her forearm, a severe concussion, broken nose, and was treated for bleach poisoning. She spent two days in the hospital. The doctors were most concerned with her head injuries since she just had a concussion less than a week ago. She has to go for another MRI in a couple weeks. Crystal inflicted a lot of hurt and agony on Devin.
I’m so fucking glad she’s dead.
I don’t even care if that makes me a bad person. That woman was a terrorist.
Mark said the officer tried to take her down without killing her, but the shot to her shoulder didn’t stop her. She was hell-bent on killing Devin, all because she had some delusional life with me planned in her mind. I’ll never understand. I barely gave her the time of day when she reentered my life. Hell, I didn’t even know I’d met her before, let alone slept with her.
Devin must feel me watching her. Her head turns and she smiles at me, bruised up face and all. She pats the empty spot next to her on the couch, and I waste no time coming to her side.
Despite everything, Devin still has a beautiful light shining in her eyes. “Merry Christmas, handsome.”
“Happy New Year, princess.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t get you a gift,” she chuckles. “Things have been crazy around here.”
Her ability to laugh has pride rising in my chest. Devin may have been knocked down, but she has proven she is stronger than anything life can throw at her. We are going to make it. We will make it through anything.
I toss my arm around her and gently pull her to me, careful not to touch her still pained arm as we watch the joy around us. Without the thick tension clouding everything, it’s clear to see how Devin completes me. “I have all I need right here in you.”
It’s the absolute truth. Within this miraculous woman, I’ve found everything I never thought I wanted. I’ve found love and peace and contentment. I’ve found completeness. Devin completes me, and I’m never letting her go.

Devin
Cold air hits my body, making me shiver. I feel his warm breath before I can even peel my eyes open.
Sebastian’s tongue slides between my folds, and a different shiver wracks my body. Goose bumps pepper my naked torso as my nipples stiffen.
“Mmm,” I moan. “Now I know why you love me to sleep naked.”
His chuckle reverberates through my core. “Easy access, princess.”
“Like clothing has ever stopped you.”
When he stares up at me from between my legs, I want to snap a photo or permanently burn this image into my mind. It’s as if he’s praying to my altar, and I feel like I could explode this very moment.
“It’s not my fault your pussy is so sweet.”
His wicked tongue laps at me, and all words are forgotten as I enjoy the beginning of my morning orgasm. Sebastian slides a long finger into me and hooks it, hitting the magic spot.
I mewl as my body heats from the inside out. As the pleasure mounts, my chest rises and falls faster. My toes tingle in anticipation.
“You ready to come, baby?”
God, yes!
Nothing beats coming on Sebastian’s tongue first thing in the morning.
