Ally and I just stare at one another, enjoying the comfort of each other as Liam holds the woman he’s been in love with for so long but thought he could never have.

He might be my Alpha, but he’s hers too. And I’d never take him from her. He’s become a part of her. Like she’s become a part of me.

I’m not sure exactly when Nate came into all of this, but I sure as heck want to find out.

But not right now.

“Her heat should be starting next week,” Nate informs, breaking the silence and bringing us back to the topic at hand. “She has two shows before she’s down for a few days.”

“Do we have time to sightsee?” Gavin asks, breaking the tension. “What?” He looks between us all. “I’ve been to Vegas before. But only for work. I want to see it all.”

Ally laughs. “Don’t worry, we will get to enjoy our time.” She looks at me. “I’ll make sure of it.”

“We’re here,” Nate announces as the bus stops.

“Ahh, where’s here?” Gavin asks. “Because this isn’t Vegas.”

Ally steps out of Liam's hold and wipes her eyes. “We’re not in Vegas. But we are at our destination for the night.”

“And that would be?” Gavin asks playfully.

“Well, I want to make sure Lulu gets to see as much as she can on this tour. So, our first stop is–” she pauses, a bright smile spreading across her face as she says, “The Grand Canyon.”

Chapter 14

Ally

“Would you two slow down!” Liam shouts as Lulu and I take off.

“Sorry you can’t keep up, old man!” I shout back, laughing. “Some of us want to see things before nightfall!”

“Does he always worry this much?” Lulu asks, laughing as she pants, trying to keep up with me as I drag her away from the guys.

“Since the moment he started working for me.” I grin over at her. “I love it, though.” I shrug. “Doesn’t mean I don’t make him work for it.” I wink. “Can’t let him get off too easy.”

We’ve been here for around an hour now. I knew coming here was a good idea once I saw the look of awe on Lulu’s face when we made it to the lookout point.

After taking a ton of photos and enjoying the sights before us, we decided to go for a walk on the trails.

The guys kept hovering—telling us to be careful, don’t walk there, watch out—as if we were children. I get it, some of this can be dangerous, but we’re adults. We can walk just fine.

I love that they care, but they’re really cramping the vibe.

“Over here.” I laugh, pulling her around the corner, tucking us into a little alcove just off the path.

“What are we doing?” Lulu asks, laughing. I place my hand over her mouth.

“Shh,” I hush her. She smiles against my palm, eyes dancing with excitement.

“Where the fuck did they go?” Brady growls.

“They’re going to put me in an early fucking grave,” Liam grumbles.

“Leave them be,” Nate says. “They’re just having fun.”

“Yeah. Don’t you see how happy they are? Stop hovering,” Gavin adds.

“We’re not hovering,” Liam defends. “These trails can be dangerous, and who knows what kind of people are out here. What if someone recognizes Ally and a whole swarm of people come?”
