“W-what about us?” She looks nervous now.

“What do you want to happen with us?” I’m not going to be the one who takes the next step this time. I’m all about the fast-paced, crazy lifestyle. She, from what I know, lives a pretty laid-back life. I don’t want to force her into anything more than what she’s ready for.

“I don’t want to lose you again.” Tears well in her eyes.

“Then you won’t.” I cup her face in my hands. “There’s a lot we need to talk about. A lot we need to work through. There are seven years missing and two whole different lives lived. But what I do know is, now that I have you here in front of me, I don’t want to see you walk away. I don’t think I’ll be able to handle that.”

“Me either,” she whispers.

I kiss her, this time soft and slow, but packed with every unsaid word.

She sighs contentedly, making me smile as I pull back. Her eyes flutter open, and god, her stunning blue eyes hit me every time.

“So we’re doing this? We’re joining packs?”

“I mean, we should probably go back there and fill everyone in. They should probably get a say, and I’m sure they’re going crazy. But I mean, we’re the Omegas. We’re really the head of the packs. So, what we say goes.”

She gives me a mischievous, giddy grin. “I’m used to chaotic. So why not with this, too?”

“You took the words right out of my mouth.” I kiss her quickly, a girlish excitement taking over. “Now, come on. Let’s go put our poor packs out of their misery, eh?”

Opening the door, I go to pull her out into the hallway, but she pulls me back. “Ally?”

I look at her over my shoulder. “Yeah?”

“I missed you.”

Turning to face her, I put my forehead to hers. “I missed you more than you will ever know. I know this is crazy. I know this is so damn fast, and none of this makes sense. And to anyone but us, it might sound like we’re a couple of crazy people who are making irrational decisions—and maybe when the adrenaline of all this settles, feelings might change for some—but I know what I feel in my heart. I know I can’t lose you, I can’t lose Liam, and I know I can’t be without Brady now. So, call me crazy, but this feels right.”

“I won’t change my mind,” she promises. “You're right. This is crazy. So damn bizarre. I’m still not convinced that this isn’t a dream that I’m going to wake up from at any moment now. But I know what I feel between us. What my heart is screaming at me to do. We might not be able to choose who the universe picks for our scent matches. But I’m choosing you because I want to. Not because I have to.”

“I fucking love you, I need you to know that.” My eyes flick between hers, this pressure in my chest taking my breath away.

“I fucking love you too.” She smiles. Then murmurs under her breath. “Just wait until you know how much.”

“Huh?”

“Nothing.” She grins widely. “Let's go make sure no one has killed one another.”

“Fuck.” My eyes widen. “This shit show isn’t over yet.”

“Not even close.”

Chapter 7

Ally

Okay, so this is not how I thought my night was going to go. Am I complaining? Just a little bit. Only because I’m scent matched to some random Alpha I’ve never met.

Mind you, he’s hot as sin. So it’s not exactly a hardship.

But he’s Lulu’s Alpha.

And Lulu is scent matched to my bodyguard. The man who wouldn’t be with me because he thought we would both end up getting hurt when we found our matches.

Guess that’s not going to be an issue now.Oh, Liam. You can’t deny me anymore, big guy.

“Ally, what the hell is going on?” Skyler, Tyson, and Ryker are leaning against the wall, right outside the green room. I can still hear shouting going on inside. I wince. My bad.
