That whimper, that pained look on her face.

She’s... Liam’s her...

Fuck!

Holy mother of god, you have got to be fucking kidding me.

Haha, very funny universe, good one. But can we lay off on the fucking curve balls you seem to enjoy throwing me?

I’m scent matched to Lulu’s Alpha. Lulu is scent matched to the Alpha I’ve been craving for years.

This is literally the day I’ve been dreading since the moment I caught feelings for Liam.

The exact reason why Liam would never take that next step with me.

Because he refused to be with anyone who wasn’t his scent match to avoid any possible hurt.

And now, he’s fucking scent matched to the woman I’ve wanted for over half my life.

Nope. Not happening. Not fucking happening.

“Oh, hell fucking no!” I find myself saying, and before I know it, I’m storming over to Lulu.

I need to talk to her, to get her alone. Things need to be said before this goes downhill even more than it is right now.Hello, shit show, party of five.

Growls ring out around the room, apparently not liking my choice of action. Well, screw them. “Oh, fuck off!” I shout at the room before swinging my gaze back to a petrified Lulu.

I feel you, girl. I’m losing it on the inside, too.

“Come with me. Now.” I grab her arm, making her squeak. A shiver runs through me as soon as we touch. I ignore it, pulling her towards the exit.

“Ally!” Nate tries to stop me, but I bare my teeth at him.

“Don’t,” I warn him. “I’m not losing him,” I tell Nate, and he gives me a pained look. “And I’m not losinghereither.”

He swallows hard, nodding. “I’ll hold them off.”

I raise a brow.

“Okay, I’ll get the guys to help.” He gives me a small grin.

“Where are we going?” Lulu asks, but we don’t go far before I’m throwing open the first door I can find and pulling her in.

Finding the light, I flick it on to see we’re standing in a janitor's closet. It will have to do.

We stand just there, staring at one another. Everything I had been ready to say to her leaves my mind. All I can think about is how fucking gorgeous she is. She cut her hair into a cute bob, the blonde strands curled.

“Hi,” I whisper, my heart racing as the urge to cry hits me. After all this time, I’m finally face-to-face with Lulu.

“Hi,” she whispers back, voice shaking as she blinks, eyes flicking between mine.

“I’m so fucking sorry,” I blurt out.

Her brows furrow. “It’s not your fault. You know Omegas and Alphas have no say over who their scent matches are.”

“No, not that.” I wave her off. “About that night.”

Her eyes widen, understanding what I mean. “Oh.”
