I press my lips harder and slide my tongue in. She meets me with the shy swipe of hers. The tip of her tongue gently pokes at mine, and I dive in deeper. I wrap my other hand around her back and pull her closer. Her back arches, and she lets out a loud gasp. I can almost smell her wetness in the air. It makes my dick harder than steel, and it presses on the zipper, nearly ripping it apart. It weeps, remembering how good she feels. How right it feels to be inside her. How amazing it is to make her forget. How victorious.

And how it’ll all be gone in a moment.

“Khe-khe.” Someone’s clearing their throat outside, and I pull away from the kiss with regret.

Once Alicia straightens in her seat with the cutest blush of her cheeks, Justin comes into view. He’s standing on the passenger side of the truck, and he doesn’t know it’s me. This is a new vehicle I’ve purchased a couple of weeks ago and still haven’t driven around town much.

I see the exact moment he realizes it’s me. His eyes widen, his jaw sets, and his shoulders square back. He’s about to open his mouth and rip me a new one when Alicia smiles at him.

“Hey, Justin. This is Mark, my friend.” She’s trying to hide her blushing face, but there is no need. His focus is solely on me. “And this is Justin, my big brother.” She moves to open the door, but Justin doesn’t move. “Hey, moose, move away so I can get out.”

That snaps him out of his staring, and he steps back. Alicia jumps out of the car and gives him a side hug. Then she turns toward me and gestures for me to follow. How she doesn’t pick up on the atmosphere is a miracle to me.

I slowly get out of the truck, feeling his eyes on me the whole time. Yeah, I bet he wants to put me in the ground right now, and I don’t blame him. I mean, I slept with his ex and now I’m sleeping with his sister. That goes against any bro code. He might think I’ve used it as a revenge on him by using his sister.

I didn’t.

But I’ll never be able to prove it to him.

“Is this like a staring contest between two alpha dudes or something?” Alicia laughs nervously, and I try to relax for her sake.

“Nah, just flexing muscles.” I wink at her and hear a loud air intake from her brother.Yeah, fuck you too, Justin.

“What is he doing here?” Justin growls.

“Be nice.” She gently smacks him on the chest. “Mark’s my neighbor and the only reason I survived on my own.” She smiles at me, but it’s forced. She feels something’s going on.

“Do you even know who he is?” His voice raises, and my fists automatically ball. She doesn’t like loud voices, and he should know it.

“Yep.” She pops theP. “A firefighter and my friend. So chill with your brotherly thing you’re doing right now.” She circles a finger in the air around his face.

Justin’s face turns concerned, and he swallows loudly. He turns toward Alicia and watches her carefully. Almost too carefully. With every passing moment, his face turns grimmer. When he finally switches his intense attention back to me, his jaw grinds so hard, I can almost hear his teeth cracking.

He turns toward Alicia, smiling. “The food’s ready. Mom doesn’t let us touch ’cause she doesn’t want to ruin theaesthetics.” He accentuates the last word and pointedly looks at me.

“Great!” Alicia claps her hands and starts walking toward the house but stops when she doesn’t find us following her. “Are you guys coming?”

“Yeah, in a minute. We’ll just have a quick chat.” Justin waves her off.

Her eyes dart from her brother to me, and I give her a reassuring nod. She smiles weakly and leaves, clear concern in her eyes.

When she disappears in the house, Justin turns into the real Attleborough I know and grabs the front of my shirt.

“The fuck is your game here?”

“Take your hands off me.” I grind my teeth, pointedly looking down.

“Or what?” His fist squeezes the material harder.

It takes all my willpower not to put him on the ground.

“Or you’re gonna end up with a few broken bones.” I meet his eyes.

“Bring it on, trailer boy.”

“Hands off, Justin, or I won’t care that your family is right there.”

The mention of his family brought him back to reality, and the muscles in his jaw slow their chaotic movements. He lets go off my shirt and steps back. “I don’t know what your game is here, but you need to turn around and get the fuck outta here.”
