“Don’t go to sleep, Home. We can’t sleep down here on the floor.”

She snuggled into me, mumbling something incoherent.

Yeah. She was definitely all mine.

Day before the wedding

Skyy and I entered the venue to do our final walk-through, hand in hand. Ever since she gave me the pussy, my mind had been gone. I was even more obsessed with her than I’d always been. I needed to always have eyes on her, always be close to her.

When I first heard the expression “live in your skin,” I thought it was wild as fuck, and couldn’t imagine a situation where I would ever be able to relate. But here I was, standing next to Skyy, knowing that if given the chance, I would wear her as a suit. I loved that girl, and there was nothing she could do about it.

“Hey.” British smiled widely, including both of us in her greeting.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“Hey.” Skyy gave her a hug.

“Should we start in the cathedral?” British questioned.

“Yes.” Skyy tugged me along, and I let her.

We walked into the cathedral, and that was the appropriate name for the space. Though it was small in size, it was regal and impressive. The crisp white walls and the white oak ceiling with heavy beams running across it framed the space, and the wall behind the pulpit was composed of floor-to-ceiling windows. The chapel overlooked the pristine blue of Lake Michigan. I wasn’t surprised that Skyy had chosen a venue that was close to and overlooked the lake. Both she and I had a love affair with water.

“Oh, the flowers and the candles.” Her hand slipped out of mine and went to her mouth.

My eyes found the pews. At the floor beside each pew was an oversized bouquet of various white flowers with greenery interspersed. Behind the bouquet were several tall hurricanes holding glowing sage green candles.

Green was my favorite color, so I knew that was her way of incorporating some of my personality into the wedding.

“Ay, British,” I called out to get her attention, “this is dope. This is dope as hell.”

She gave me a grin. “Facts. And this was all your future wife. She told us the vision; all we did was gather the components.”

“Yeah.” I reached out and caught Skyy around the waist, pulling her body into mine. I kissed her cheek before continuing. “She’s dope as hell, too.”

She turned in my arms and gave me a quick hug before pulling away.

Skyy was that way. Public displays of affection weren’t really her thing. But she would let me show her my appreciation for all her hard work back at the crib. I smacked her on the ass.

She gave me a playful frown but then winked at me.

“Let’s go see the reception room,” British suggested.

After we approved the setup of the reception room, we left the venue headed to our rehearsal dinner.

Wedding Day

“How are you feeling?” my grandmother, who we all called Noni, asked as she gently caressed my cheek.

“I’m okay,” I assured her.

I sat in one of the venue’s receiving rooms, getting my hair and makeup done. Also in the room with me were Noni, my mom, Kelcie, my older sister Sparkle, and Jaxxon’s sister Amaya.

“I can’t believe you and Jaxxon are finally doing this,” Amaya commented with a smile. “He’s loved you forever.”

“Flaws and all,” Sparkle added unnecessarily.

I rolled my eyes at her. “Whatever.”
