"Kai, y'all are crazy. I mean, whatever happened to just threatening to punch someone in his face. Geez, slicing someone's throat should be a last resort."

He shrugs. "You would think."

"Who should be my willing victim?"

"Let's pick someone I don't like just in case it takes longer than the allotted time." He looks around the room. What baffles me is he is dead ass serious.

I slap his arm, because I don't know if he's joking. "How about no?"

"Whatever." He sighs. "Maybe, Hadseck?"

"Eww, he's such a jackass." I growl.

"That's my final answer." He crosses his arms over his chest with a smile.

Okay, I can do this. "Challenge Accepted."

Smiling up at Gunner, who is finally doing what he's supposed to be doing, which is looking at me, and I "drop" my pencil in front of Hadseck's desk.

“I'm so sorry. I'm such a klutz." I giggle.

His scolding gaze travels the full length of my body whichdoes nothing but make me want to gag. "No worries, beautiful. I'll grab it for you."

"Thank you, I won't forget this." I giggle again.

"What's your name?" He smirks.

"Taken." I admit when I hear Kai growl behind me.

Sitting back down at my desk, I kiss Kai's cheek to take away the sting. He smiles. "One more second and he would have been a goner."

I laugh. "Which is a good thing, because I don't want my boyfriend to go to prison."

"You only go to prison if you get caught, Princess."

"And let me guess, you'd never get caught."

"Not in a million years."

The energy changes in the room, and hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, I can feel Gunner's unforgiving stare. I could give two shits that he's pissed.

He comes to stand in front of my desk. Showing his power over me, I almost hang my head. "Time is up, turn in your tests. Presley Kate, stay back after class. The rest of you are free to go."

His eyes never leave mine, and when the next to last student leaves. Kai places a kiss on my cheek, then shuts the door behind him.

Gunner is never predictable. With his eyes he bores a hole straight through me, but how dare he get mad at me. He started this, and I'll be damned if he'll get away with it.

I’m dripping green with jealousy. "Did you like her tits?"

He has the good sense to look sheepish, but I'm in my don't give a damn era. "Well, did you, Asshole?"

"I don't have a clue what you're referring to." He huffs.

He’s smart, and somewhere in the back of my mind, I know I'm being irrational, but my mouth won't shut up. "Don't you? So, you prefer blondes now?"

Jumping up, I send my book bag sailing across the room. Never underestimate the power of a woman eaten up with jealousy.

"Come here." He demands.
