“Aight, then we’ll get all that shit to go.”
“Babe no. This was enough. I promise. I’m just talking.”
“It’s straight, Kaori,” he stated. “Tonight is about you.”
“You’re so good to me,” I cooed. “I know you’re going to be the perfect father to Silas. You already are.”
“I’m gon’ try my hardest for real.” He chuckled.
“I know.” I smiled. “Thank you for tonight.”
“No thanks needed, bae, but the night isn’t over.”
“It’s not?” I inquired. “You just said dinner.”
“I did, didn’t I?” He smirked, waving our waitress over and requesting all of the food I had asked for. They put in a rush order since we apparently had another reservation. When the server returned with my boxed and bagged food, I accepted Solomon’s hand and allowed him to usher me outside where there was literally a chariot waiting for us.
“Solomon,” I gasped.
Two men played beautiful music as they stood by the carriage and our driver from earlier waited with a smile on his face. I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down my face. This was literally the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me, as well as another first.
Solomon helped me onto the carriage then got on himself, taking a seat on the opposite side.
“What are you doing?” I asked, seeing the flash from his phone.
“Memories.”
“I’m literally crying, baby.” I sniffled.
“Still beautiful.” He shrugged, then joined me on my side.
“I can’t believe we’re on a carriage. I didn’t even know we had this kind of stuff here.”
“Me either.” I chuckled. “I had a little help figuring the shit out.”
“From whom?”
“Why?”
“Because you don’t have sisters and I highly doubt you asked your mother.”
He grinned. “I got homegirls.”
“Solomon, don’t make me cut you,” I warned playfully but was serious at the same time. While I appreciated everything, I didn’t want him getting date night ideas from other people.
“Naw, I got some pointers from Ice and Mo,” he admitted. “I never really took a woman on a date and wanted to do shit I knew you would like and that you deserve.”
I simpered. “I appreciate you going to these lengths. This is so perfect.”
Crescent Falls was a beautiful city anytime of the day, but being in a carriage with my man, the love of my life, at night, seeing it lit up under the night sky was unexplainable. Solomon had truly outdone himself and I was going to have to work overtime in order to top it.
As we rode, the coachman, or our driver who was clearly a jack of many trades, gave us a little history lesson on the city. Some of the stuff he told me I knew, but there was a lot of it I didn’t. Like the first bank of Crescent Falls, I hadn’t ever seen it and had been living here my entire life. We saw the first houses of all of the founding families, just a lot of cool historic places.
By the end of the night, I was in complete bliss and knew I was going to give him the best head he had ever gotten. He deserved that and so much more, but I was going to handle the former first.
When we made it back to my place, Solomon and I showered together and while in there we kissed and fondled as well as washed each other’s bodies, but we didn’t have sex. Just a very intimate shower.
Afterward, he went onto my balcony to smoke while I did my skin care routine, texted Mo and my mother to thank them, then I joined him.
