“Yes, love. So fucking sweet.” Moaning, his fist is lightning fast now. “I’m just about there with you.” My eyes swing up to his briefly before dropping back down. I don’t want to miss a second.

“Then come, Thayer. Come for me.” My low voice is seemingly a trigger as he groans low. His abs tense, and he comes hard, shooting onto his stomach. I listen as he breathes heavily, lost in the moment for a second.

Giving him time to recover, I get up and grab some wet paper towels. Walking over to his wheelchair, I hold them out to him. Once he finishes cleaning up, he captures my hand and tugs me down to sit on his lap.

“Love, tell me this means you’ll give me a chance? I know I was an asshole, but I know you now. And knowing how you treat my brothers, I would be a lucky bastard if you decide to let me be a part of your life.”

I lean down and capture his lips in a kiss, stealing his breath and giving him mine in return. My desire is deep, my emotions overflowing. Drawing back, I linger, staring into his blue eyes.

“I’m so fucking greedy. I see you, Thayer. And I want you. The doctor. The friend. The man. Yes, I’ll give you, us, a chance.”

His hand reaches into my hair and tugs me down to meet his kiss. “Thank you, love. You won’t regret it.”

Wrapped in his arms, I feel complete. As if my heart has all its pieces now.

CHAPTER 45

KATE

December came roaring in last week with a blizzard. Being from a milder climate, it was awe inspiring to see Mother Nature wipe the land clean in a matter of hours. I’ve been in Montana ten months now, and it feels like home. I can’t imagine living anywhere else, especially not without them.

Thayer and I have been taking things slow physically due to his recovery, but even with our rocky beginning, I’m equally in love with him as I am with my other three men. He’s still arrogant and pushy, but he would go to the ends of the Earth for those he loves, including me.

Tonight, we’re all headed out to the Cattleman’s Christmas Ball, in Helena. It’s the first time we’ll attend an event together, and I’m incredibly nervous. According to Shaw, all the ranchers in the state are invited to attend, so that means literally everyone will be there. It’s been a long time since I was around a huge crowd of people.

Shaw and Lev went up early to talk to other ranchers about the vineyard they planted on the property. Lowell’s been holed up in his room, finishing his first draft, while Thayer’s been writing an article on his condition for a medical journal.

And I have been getting ready. Buckling the straps on my shoes, I step up to the mirror and survey the results. I smile with satisfaction. They are not going to know what hit them. The dress is two pieces designed to look like one. The top is a strapless, black lace bustier. The bottom is a full, green satin skirt that hangs to the floor, with a slit on one side to the top of the thigh. Formal, but sexy. Black strappy high heels complete the picture.

Stepping out from Shaw’s bedroom, I head towards the living room to wait for Lowell and Thayer. The car should be arriving in fifteen minutes, which leaves me enough time to have a glass of wine.

Standing in front of the window, a long, low whistle sounds from behind me. Turning around, I find both Lowell and Thayer in the doorway. In black tuxedos. Damn, I love a man in a tuxedo. Two men in a tuxedo? Do we need to go to this damn ball?

“Damn, love, you look gorgeous.” Thayer pushes himself to me so he can give me a kiss.

“Thanks, handsome.” He tries to pull me into his lap, but I hold him off. “It took me ages to get ready.” I lean down and give him a kiss, savoring the taste of him.
