I nodded. “I know so.”
“Okay. Okay!” She clapped her hands, psyching herself up. “I can do this.”
She shifted into first and got the Porsche rolling without killing it.
“Nice! There you go!” I encouraged her as we rolled toward the main road.

Ottavia
The Porsche growled as I maneuvered us down the street. Which street? Good question. I’ve got no idea. I wassofocused on the task at hand, adrenaline pumping through my veins as I gripped the steering wheel, that I was completely unaware of where we were or where we were heading.
Thankfully, I didn’t really need to know. All I had to do was Dakota’s directions.
“Turn left here,” he said, and I obeyed.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure I could do it—putting around a parking lot is one thing, but being out on the actual road, with cars all around us, is another thing entirely. But with each successful shift, lane change, and turn, I felt a growing sense of empowerment and the confidence that I coulddothis.
A red light lay up ahead. I put the car in neutral and we slowed to a stop.
“We’re going to make a right at the light, okay?” he said, his voice gentle and reassuring.
“Got it,” I said with a determined little head bob.
While we waited for the light to change—and I’m embarrassed to admit this, but—the vibrations of the sporty engine reverberated through the car, pulsating my body. I shifted in my seat, squeezing my thighs together, trying to stave off the thrumming that lapped at my tingling nerves.
Really, Ottavia?I thought, torturing myself.Do you have to be this big of a virgin?
Which, really, was one more reason I shouldn’t be on the road right now.God,I was so worked up after making out with Dakota. I squeezed my eyes shut in frustration, thinking of what could’ve been. I wassoclose to climbing on top of him, right then and there. Would it have been cramped? Sure. Would I have minded?Notat all.
Does that make me pathetic, that I’d wait this long, only for my first time to be in a car in the middle of some factory parking lot? Maybe. Then again, it can’t be much more pathetic than still being a virgin at twenty-one, when I’m not clinging to any religious reasons or saving myself for marriage or anything like that.
I was relieved when the light turned green, so I could stop obsessing over the longing that throbbed between my thighs.
“You’re doing fucking phenomenal, Ottavia,” Dakota said. “We’re almost there.”
My heart swooned. He was so supportive. No one had ever done anything this sweet for me before in my life.
“Thanks.” I smiled at him. “Where are we going, anyway?”
“You’ll see. We’re almost there.” He grinned. “Take a right here.”
His directions took us deeper into the city. My anticipation began to grow as he led me through a street lined with towering high-rise buildings.
“See that building?” Dakota asked, pointing. It stood tall and imposing, blending seamlessly with the urban landscape. “Turn into the entrance.”
I turned carefully, and we glided smoothly into the entrance of the building’s parking garage. The surroundings transformed, the air growing cooler and engine echoing off of the concrete walls, as we entered the underground area.
“Should you take over?” I asked uncertainly.
But he shook his head. “Nah, you’re doing great, babe.”
I followed the tight turns of the corridor as we went down a level, deeper into the garage. Dakota pointed at an open parking spot. “You can park there.”
I brought the car to a stop and switched the engine off.
