“So, you didn’t want him to join the team?”

“Every jaguar that switched up to be cobra is technically on my shit list until proven otherwise. They turned their backs on the boss with a snap of my fingers. Yes, it worked out perfectly for me, but I don’t trust any of them. Those niggas aren’t loyal to anything but money and pussy and I don’t like that.”

“That’s why they get all the trash assignments?”

I snorted out a laugh. “Fucking right.”

Xavier huffed out a chuckle before I heard him mutter a curse.

“What now?”

“I’m getting text messages from the other ex-jaguars. They all pretty much saying they got an envelope of either a finger or a toe placed on they doorsteps or car this morning.”

I burst into laughter. I may not like Seojun, but I had to admit the man was ruthless. I made a mental note to do some shit like that to my enemies.

“Well, what do we do?” X asked.

“Nothing.”

“Nothing?”

“Yup. Like I said, those ex-jaguars were disloyal and to be honest, they served their purpose with me.”

“You and boss lady had them turn their backs on Seojun without a real need for them?”

I lit up a blunt and exhaled a puff of smoke. “All I’m going to say is, we got what we needed, and spare parts can be disposed of. Don’t text them niggas back because they are good as dead. Go check on my houses, though, to make sure they straight.”

With that, I hung up the phone. X may have been my best friend, but he didn’t need to know everything that was in motion. The fact that I told him about Mama K was probably too much information, but I couldn’t take it back. All he needed to know was that as long as he stayed loyal to me, then he was protected.

My phone chimed, causing me to roll my eyes. I wasn’t in the mood for Xavier to get all sentimental or ask any more questions he didn’t need the answer to.

Mama K: Seojun’s out of hiding

Me: I heard. What do you want me to do?

Mama K: Nothing…yet. We have to see the plan through in order for this to work.

Me: Can’t we just tell Mr. Omba she can finish school online and send her off? I’m ready to get my baby Denice and get rid of the rest of those muthafuckas.

Mama K: Patience, baby boy. With Seojun out getting rid of all those dumb ass Jaguars except for the ones we have in hiding, and his little family roaming around clueless of our plans for them, they’ll never know what hit them when we strike.

Just before I put the phone down, I received another text notification, but this time from Mr. Omba.

Omba: I’d like an updated picture of my future bride. It seems the last one I retrieved suffered some water damage

I scrunched up my nose; ole nasty muthafucka.

Me: Sure thing

I started a new text thread and scrolled through my contacts until I found the name I was looking for.

Me: I need an updated picture of you.

Addy: Another one?

Me: Now!

Addy: I’m so sick of this shit, Mr. L
