Fabian lets out a chuckle while Mikos looks at Hannah as if she has grown three heads. No one would have thought the innocent-looking alpha wolf beside me would come up with such a horrible excuse as to why the owner of the phone wouldn’t be able to answer it right away.

“Just answer it as you usually would if Steven were busy and let Claira do the acting,” Hannah continues, ignoring the strange looks from everyone around the table.

“I… I can do that,” Sabrina confirms while Claira leans back in her chair, smirking.

“If I am playing the role of ‘merchandise,’ who is going to play the role of Steven?” she asks, looking at the men around the table.

Aidan’s head snaps toward his daughter with a disgusted look, while Fabian loses it, doubling over in his chair with laughter.

“Depends on who sounds like him while moaning and groaning,” Sabrina answers, her eyes wide at how the tone of this conversation has changed.

With a smirk, Hannah orders all the men to take turns moaning as if they were in the middle of fucking some pack whore. Mikos goes first, and it takes everything in me not to double overlaughing at how awkward he sounded and looked. After his turn, each wolf went next until Fabian’s turn came.

“He’s the one,” Sabrina said, fear seeping out of her. “That’s how Steven sounded when he would… have his way with me and any woman he wanted.”

Nelson stiffens, his eyes hardening into a glare. He buries his face in Sabrina’s hair, breathing in her scent to calm himself down.

“So, we have our fake Steven. Now it’s time to plan the attack for tomorrow night,” Hannah says, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms over her chest.

Looking at the plan of attack for tomorrow, our small group waits patiently for Marcus to call back. Aidan and Mikos took off as soon as we finalized the plan to leave Haven Trail and launch the attack on the hunters’ headquarters tomorrow night. Sabrina said that after each sale, the team would return late at night, around midnight, when security was lax in the city.

Aileen was able to find a tractor-trailer that we put in Sabrina’s name, and it would be arriving at Haven Trail tomorrow morning. Sabrina would drive the tractor-trailer to the headquarters with a mix of Haven Trail warriors and royal pack warriors in the back, waiting to spill out and attack as soon as the trailer was inside.

Aileen would be joining Aidan and Mikos, who would lead another team to sneak into the building where they would be the first to attack the hunters and create a distraction. With this, ourteam would be able to infiltrate the building and rush toward the cells where the captured wolves and vampires were kept.

Suddenly, the phone in front of Sabrina lights up, and I nod to her, motioning for her to answer it. Nelson gives her a reassuring smile, telling his mate she can do this. Finally, Sabrina answers the call, putting it on speakerphone for us to hear.

“Hi, Marcus,” she greets the caller, her voice shaking.

“Sabrina, where the fuck is Steven?” Marcus demands right away, and Sabrina flinches, her eyes looking to me for reassurance.

“He… he is testing out a new she-wolf w-we found on the way back,” Sabrina answers, standing from her chair. She walks around the room as if heading somewhere else. With a nod to Claira, I signal for her to start.

“Please!” she sobs, fear and pain lacing her voice as Fabian begins to groan in time with the sound of a porno that Julian found online.

I have to cover my mouth to stifle the laughter that threatens to spill as we listen to my beta begging for someone to stop, her sobs and slight whimpers of both pain and pleasure being something I did not expect to escape from her lips. Fabian, who sits next to her, has his eyes closed as he groans and moans, seemingly ignoring his captor’s pleas to stop.

“Fuck. Leave him be to enjoy himself!” Marcus shouts through the phone, and Sabrina pretends to back away.

Claira and Fabian take this as their cue to slowly quiet their voices until they go silent, while Sabrina returns to her seat.

“When the fuck do you guys plan to return home?” Marcus asks, annoyance in his voice.

“Tomorrow night,” Sabrina answers, the fear she has toward this man slowly dissipating.

“Good. Be back by midnight so I can yell at that useless twit of a brother. Our hunters aren’t happy that he took forever to return.”

Before Sabrina can reply, the call is cut short. She places the phone onto the table, and like a switch, we all burst out laughing.

“Goddess, that was hilarious,” Aileen states, clutching her stomach.

“No wonder Aidan ran out to organize our men before Marcus could call again,” I say, wiping tears from my eyes.

“We are never living this down, are we?” Fabian asks Claira, grinning as he shakes his head.
