The constant pull of his mouth and the friction of his very talented thumb pushes me to the edge, but when he gently glides two fingers into my soaking channel, there’s no holding back. My body bows up, the muscles clamping down on his fingers. I can’t stop a cry of pleasure that feels as if it’s being ripped from the very depths of my soul.
I’m so lost in intense ecstasy I’ve only ever experienced with Jessen I don’t even notice he’d been gone until I feel the condom-clad head of his dick nudge my drenched opening. He groans long and low as he pushes into me and, for a second, I tense as the size of him stretches muscles that haven’t been used in too long. The tiny bite of discomfort caused by his girth passes quickly as my body adjusts to accommodate him.
This man is so attuned to my body he holds still. “You okay, gorgeous?” The early morning rasp of his voice can only be described as the sexiest sound ever.
“Oh yeah. I’m more than okay.”
Unlike the intense, frenzied lovemaking of earlier, Jessen makes love to me slowly, easing in and out of my body, pushing me higher, ever closer to flying apart. But it’s intense pleasure I feel when he pushes a fingertip against the sensitive nerves around my back hole that has me freefalling into the most spectacular orgasm I’ve ever experienced in my life.
All I can do is lie there gasping for breath as a starburst of light flashes against the inside of my closed eyelids. When he collapses beside me, his arms no longer able to hold him up, I curl into his side with a jaw-cracking yawn.
Sated, my soul at peace, all right in my world, I’m convinced I hear Jessen murmur the words “I love you” just as I’m dozing off.

LUCKY
Cursing my alarm, I roll out of bed as carefully as possible. Agatha’s sleeping peacefully, and I don’t have the heart to wake her. By the time I’m done in the bathroom though, she’s sleepily eyeing the door.
I skirt the bed to her side and drop a quick kiss on her mouth, still a little swollen and pouty from last night. Makes me regret that I have to go even more.
“I didn’t mean to wake you. I was going to leave you a note. I have to get going – I have a PT session with the guys this morning.”
“What time is it?” Sleep makes her voice a husky murmur. And that husky murmur has me hardening in seconds, to the point I’m almost willing to say fuck it and crawl back into bed with her.
“It’s just a little after four.”
“You’re going out at four in the morning to go exercise?” Her incredulous tone has me chuckling.
“Yeah, baby, that’s how we stay fit. Our job is physically demanding. We need to stay in shape.” Dropping another kiss on her forehead this time, I continue. “After PT, I’m gonna head home and shower real quick before coming back to fetch you for the signing.”
This time, Agatha goes up on an elbow. “It’s okay, Jessen. I can go on my own. No need for you to go out of your way to come back.”
“I know you can go on your own. But you don’thaveto. What time do you need to be there?”
“Ten.”
“Great, I’ll be back in plenty of time to get you there. Now give me a kiss and go back to sleep.”
She opens her mouth, changes her mind, then tilts her head so I can kiss her. Allowing myself to sink into it, it’s long moments before I remember I’m supposed to be saying goodbye. Reluctantly, I pull back and rest my forehead against hers.
“I really do need to go now. Otherwise I’ll never leave. Get a bit more sleep. I’ll see you later.”
“Okay. I’ll see you later then. Say hi to the guys.”
I watch as Agatha snuggles back a moment, then reaches over and grabs my pillow, hugging it tight to her chest. With a sigh, she seems to drift off again, just like that. Out of nowhere, something shifts inside of me, and I feel it settle deep. A feeling of contentment I’ve never experienced before steals over me.
In the past it would have freaked me out, but this moment feels so right. I’m not getting any younger, and the thrill of the chase, the one-night stands, and meaningless hook-ups hold zero appeal for me these days. Has done for some time now if I’m being honest with myself.
One-by-one, I’ve seen Wolf and his team find their women. Even Knight’s found the woman who complements him in every way. I see their happiness, the peace settling down seems to have brought them, and I find myself yearning for the same thing.
As I stand there taking Agatha in, that contentment deepens. She’s everything I never realized I was searching for. For the first time in my adult life, I can see a future with a woman – this woman – and I want it.
Knowing I’ll never leave if I don’t do it now, I reluctantly turn for the door. One last look over my shoulder is all I allow myself. Quietly, I let myself out of the apartment and make my way down to the car.
I’m three minutes late as I lock my car and walk to where the rest of the team is waiting for me. I’m never late, and their knowing grins warn me of the ragging that’s about to come. And they don’t make me wait for it.
“Hey, old man, you sleep through your alarm?” Dutch starts me off easy.
