“Take me to your room,” she whispers around my lips.

Nodding, I dig for my wallet, pulling away to slap some billson the bar. She grabs her purse, gives me one flirty look over her shoulder, and saunters toward the exit. Stumbling over the stool with no logic to my name, I hurry to catch up to her, and we meet at the elevator. Once the door shuts, she closes the distance between us.

CHAPTER FIVE

TREVOR

Itap the fourth floor and whip Willa around, pulling her against me. She sucks in a hiss of air as my lips course down her neck.

“Shit, you’re good at this,” she muses. My surprised chuckle sends her lip between her teeth. That was an inside thought. It might be the first compliment she’s ever given me. If this is how I go down in the history books, I’m about show her just how good I can be.

“Grab my shoulders.” The words hardly leave my mouth before her arms circle my neck; legs wrapped around my waist. Her dress rides up as my hands skirt her thighs, grabbing a fistful of bare ass.Fucking hell. This goddamn woman is trying to kill me. A shameless moan rumbles from my chest when I crash into her soft lips, set adrift in a cloud of coconut and fantasies come to life. Her fingernails graze my scalp, and I pin her against the wall, dazed by my matchless desire to sink into her right here in the elevator. Then the doors slide open with a ding, and a poor housekeeper gets an eyeful.

Willa slides down my body and silently fixes her dress. I have to resist pulling her against me when she brushes the strain in my jeans. With our gazes locked, my thoughts move at warpspeed as the awareness of who this is and what we’re doing seeps through the haze.I need to slow this down. She means more than this.

But when the housekeeper steps out on the third floor and the doors close, Willa presses into me, sliding fingers over my shoulders as she guides me to her mouth. A jolt races down my spine, but that brief loss of contact sobered me just enough to slip a little sense back into my body. This is my friend’s sister. A friend who I dated once upon a time. There aren’t any lingering feelings there, but it still happened.Do I bring it up? I don’t know what rules there are about this, but a conversation should probably be had, despite my hand wandering under her dress.

“Willa,” I mumble as I pull back. “Uh—we’re friends.”

Her eyebrows dip as she licks her lips. “We’re not friends, Trevor.”

Damn.

The elevator dings, and I follow as she steps onto the fourth floor. Slipping my fingers around her wrist, I turn her to face me. “Okay, well, we’re friendly. And I’m friends with your sister, who I dated.”

“Are you still hung up on her?” she asks, slapping a hand on her hip.

“No! Not at all. I just—aren’t there rules against this? Ash isn’t going to disown you?”

Willa laughs, and I’m confused. I’m really not trying to be responsible for another estrangement between the sisters.

“Oh, you’reserious?” Her giggles simmer as she shakes her head, eyes wild with amusement. “You give yourself too much credit. I’m grown, and I don’t need her permission to fuck a grown-ass man.”

“Uh…okay. Fair enough. But we’ve been drinking…”

“I know exactly what going back to your room entails, and I asked you.” She waves a hand between us. “I’m not drunk, Trevor. Are you?”

She has a point. This is the most clearheaded I’ve been all day.The longer we stare, the more I want to pick her up and make a mess of her right here in the hallway. I shake my head slowly.

“Now, if you don’t want to anymore, that’s another story.” Crossed arms settle over her chest, and she cocks a hip. “Are we doing this or not?”

I must take too long to answer, because she rolls her eyes and turns the opposite direction, reigniting my desire to feel her skin against mine. Grabbing her elbow, I pull her back, losing my mind at the devilish smirk on her face. I jerk her hips against mine, my dick jumping at the shiver that travels through her. “We’re doing this,” I whisper, stealing a kiss. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been with anyone, especially someone with this much moxie. Someone I want a chance with.Don’t fuck it up. “I just want it to be known that I don’t do thi?—”

“I don’t care.” Swallowing the rest of my sentence with eager lips, she pushes me against the wall, claiming my tongue until she’s had her fill. She lifts an expectant eyebrow, and I spin her around, grinding into her ass so she can feel what she’s doing to me. The sexiest whimper eases from her lips as she throws a heated gaze over her shoulder. I grab her chin and kiss her hard, then propel her a few doors down to my room.

She whips her purse over her head and damn near climbs me like a tree as soon as we’re inside, latching on like she did in the elevator. We clumsily fall on the mattress, a tangled mess of legs and arms, while we claw at each other’s clothes.

“I don’t do this,” I murmur against her neck, nudging the strap of her dress down her shoulder as I straddle her. For whatever reason, I want her to know I don’t drunkenly take women to bed like this. She needs to know she’s special.

“You always talk so much?” She gasps on the last word when I grip her dimpled thigh and pull her slick heat against me.

“Usually,” I say, nipping at her ear. “I just…don’t do this…”

“You think I do? I barely leave my house.” Her hands are at my zipper, and I can’t tell if she’s teasing me with how long she takes. Fingers brush against my dick, and I buck into her, lettingout a moan. She giggles and touches me again, getting another rise out of me. “You wanna stop?” she asks.

“Not a chance.” This playful side of her is driving me wild. I can’t get enough, needing to taste every inch of her soft skin as my lips work across her collarbone.

She meets me with an eager kiss, abandoning my zipper as she clutches my hips. “Then shut up and get a condom, Trevor.”
