Growling, he pounds into me harder until we both shatter together. His warm release pours into me as I pulse around him, surrendering myself completely to him.
His jagged breaths warm my neck as his hand drops from my mouth to cup the back of my neck. He holds me tight until the very last tremor leaves my body.
“Fuck, Olivia,” he pants into my skin. “I’m pretty sure my soul left my body on that one,” he softly chuckles. Lifting his head, he searches my face. “I didn’t hurt you, did I? The drumming, this outfit, seeing you dance for me…. God, I felt like I was going to die if I wasn’t inside you.”
“No,” I smile, shaking my head. “You somehow know just what I need without me even knowing it myself.” I bring his head down and touch his soft lips with mine. He sinks into me and kisses me with such tenderness that I have a hard time keeping the tears at bay.
“You were amazing up there,” I say, finally breaking away, but keeping him close. “The way you play…it’s.” I try tosearch for the right words, but there aren’t any to describe what I felt while watching him. “You’re breathtaking to watch.”
“I don’t know,” he murmurs. “I think my view on stage was the breathtaking one. This body swaying to my beat is something I want to see every time I play.” He kisses me once more before slowly sliding out of me and setting me on the floor. “I need to get back out there and check on things,” he says, fixing his pants before grabbing a clean t-shirt that isn’t damp from sweat off his desk. He runs a hand through his dark hair and replaces the ball cap once he’s dressed.
“I’ll be out in a second. I’m going to freshen up in the bathroom real quick.” I reach up on tiptoes and kiss him briefly on the lips.
“Come find me when you’re done.” His smile spreads across his face, and my heart wants to grab hold of him and never let go.
“I will,” I grin, watching him leave as the door shuts behind him.
Walking to the bathroom, I quickly wash up and run a hand through my hair before touching up my makeup.
Returning to the crowd, I spot Miles talking to Noah and his wife, Emma, at his side. Maverick and Bella are next to them. I smile as I approach everyone. He told me earlier they were coming tonight, and that Noah is a silent partner who helped design the whole place. I haven’t seen them since Lyla’s party, so I’m glad they could make the hour drive to be here.
Giving them all hugs, I greet them as Miles’s hand goes around my waist and pulls me to him.
“We heard you guys were together,” Bella grins at us. Her bright blue eyes are identical to her brother, Noah’s. She looks beautiful tonight. Her long blonde hair is tied back in a sleek ponytail, and the blue dress she is wearing makes her ocean-colored eyes stand out even more. “I knew after Charlie’sbirthday party that it was only a matter of time before you two got together.”
“I finally got her to admit she likes me,” Miles looks at me and winks.
“Maybe I do a little,” I grin, and hear Mav chuckle.
“You’ve met your match, my friend.” His green eyes dance with laughter against his tanned skin as his deep dimples appear in a grin.
“Yes, I have,” Miles softly laughs and squeezes my hip.
“Noah, you did a beautiful job on this place. I couldn’t believe the transformation when I saw it.”
“Thank you,” he says, smiling at my compliment. “Miles had the vision and gave me a great structure to work with. I was just the lucky one who got to bring it to life.”
“And this crowd,” Emma says excitedly, looking around. “It looks like the whole town of Blue Haven is here tonight.” She takes in the place as Noah absently plays with her long brunette hair as she leans against his chest.
You can tell both of these married couples are very much in love with the small touches and glances they share. Just like his brothers, they have found the other part of their soul. Miles’s hand moves up and rests against my bare midriff as his thumb strokes my skin. Something tells me I’ve found mine, too, if I can find the strength to grab it.
“I’m pretty sure they are,” Miles grins at Emma. “Tonight couldn’t have been a better turnout. You guys take a look around and see all of Noah’s hard work. When you are done, there is a table in the corner next to the one my brothers are at that I reserved for you guys,” he says, pointing to the far back. “Wine and bourbon are already there waiting for you.”
“Now we’re talking,” Mav grins. “My parents are watching Maven and Holden tonight, so this beautiful lady and I aregoing to enjoy every bit of our time tonight.” He pulls Bella to him and kisses her loudly on the lips.
“Yes, we are,” she laughs.
“Same with us,” Noah winks at Emma, and her cheeks warm as she blushes. “Thank God for overnight sleepovers with my parents,” he grins, before they start walking toward the bar to check out the place.
“I really like them,” I smile as I watch them disappear in the crowd.
“Me too,” Miles grins.
“Hey, boss, we might need your help outside.” We turn and see Todd, one of the bartenders here tonight. “The crowd is getting bigger, and we don’t have enough hands to keep up with the orders. Katie and Tina are busting ass to deliver drinks, but more keep flowing in.”
“I guess that’s a good problem to have,” he chuckles. “I’ll be right there to help,” Miles tells him.
“Thanks,” he says, before disappearing back outside.
