There’s a soft knock on the door. “Come in,” Hadley shouts.
Grayson’s head peeks through the door, his eyes closed. “You’re dressed. Right?”
“Yes, brother,” Hadley laughs.
He steps all the way into the room, his eyes filling with tears as he stares at his little sister.
“Hadley,” he gets out over the ball of emotion I can hear welling in his throat. He steps forward, taking both of her hands in his. “You look stunning.”
“Thank you,” she says, emotion heavy in her own voice.
“I’ll give you guys a minute,” I say, winking at Hadley, who glances at me over Grayson’s shoulder.
Just as I’m about to walk out the door, Grayson grabs my hand. His eyes rake over my dress.
“You look gorgeous, my love.” He leans in, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
“You look pretty handsome yourself,” I say, taking in his dark jeans and white dress shirt.
Austin, Brooks, and Conrad all decided to go with a little more casual look, so most of the guys are wearing something similar.
“Go have your moment with Hads. I’ll be downstairs,” I tell him.
“I love you,” he calls after me.
“Love you more,” I say in return.
He just shakes his head. “Not possible.”
I’m smiling like a fool as I step out of the room, hearing Hadley grumble something about us being disgustingly adorable.
“Go ahead,” I tell Evelyn, nudging her toward the small aisle down the middle of the lawn.
They’re getting married in their own backyard. It’s beautiful, with flowers and white lace, but it’s simplistic too.
Evelyn walks between the wooden benches filled with those who love the four people devoting their lives to each other today.
Austin beams down at his daughter as she draws closer. She gives her dad a big hug, followed by Conrad and Brooks, before taking her spot off to the side.
Taking my cue, I start my own journey down the aisle. My eyes lock on Tucker with Mia strapped to his chest.
She’s out cold, despite everything going on around her. I swear that girl could sleep through a hurricane.
Warren is holding Jackson up, so he can see everything. A huge smile crosses his face when he sees me. He squirms in his dad’s arms until Warren sets him down.
When I reach the end of the aisle, Jackson darts over. He grabs my hand, looking up at me with his big brown eyes.
I bend down to tell him to go back with the guys, but Conrad’s voice stops me. “Go stand with the girls, Jacks.”
Jackson smiles at him.
“You sure?” I mouth to him. He nods, warmth in his eyes.
With Jackson’s hand in mine, we walk over to our spot beside Evelyn. She grabs Jackson’s other hand, and this might just be the best day of his life based on the smile he’s sporting.
The music changes as Grayson and Hadley walk out the back door of the house. I turn my head to look at the three guys waiting for her.
Pure love radiates through all of them as they stare on in awe of their soon-to-be wife. Tears flow down Hadley’s face as they walk closer, but she makes no move to wipe them away.
