“No problem.”

The only person that Lynn wanted to see was Lorraine, and to figure out what it was about her that spooked Mike. Since when was he even aware of gaudy socialites?

She reentered the gallery, shadowing Lorraine and the posse that moved with her. Lynn managed to snap a few covert pictures of the group, as well as some of the other people in the gallery.

Lynn didn’t know any of Lorraine’s crew. She wasn’t in that crowd. But Lorraine was known for her expensive taste, and people seemed to flock to her.

When she was satisfied with her pictures, Lynn walked outside to see that the Rolls was still sitting at the curb. She got a wild idea and decided to go for it.

Doing her best drunk person impression, Lynn stumbled toward the car, pulling the back door open and tumbling inside.

“Let’s go,” she yelled out.

The driver turned around, an annoyed look on her face. “Ma’am? Can I help you?”

Lynn narrowed her eyes. If only she could find something useful…

“Yeah! I said let’sgo!”

Lynn pulled out her phone, pretending that she was texting, but instead snapped a few pictures of the driver and the inside of the car. She had to force herself not to stare at the beautiful interior. The ceiling was covered in tiny lights, making it look like the night sky.

“I’m going to have to ask you to leave.”

“These seats are so soft.”

“Ma’am, please.”

Lynn paused, abruptly looking up from her phone. “Oh. Wait. I think I’m in the wrong car.”

The driver offered a pained smile. “I think you are.”

“Sorry!” she said, snapping a few pictures on her way out.

While she might’ve overplayed the slurred speech, she was overall pleased with her performance. Lynn staggered out of the back of the car, straightening once she was out of sight.

Mike was going to have to involve her now, whether he liked it or not.
