“You’re sure, you’re happy about this?” I asked, eyeing Beth through curious eyes.
“I wouldn’t have asked you to leave your apartment and move in with me, if I wasn’t,” she replied.
I took the heavy box she was attempting to lift and stored it on top of another, slid my hands around her waist and pressed a kiss to her temple.
“Levi almost burst a blood vessel when I told him you were moving in. But you know what? I think secretly, he’s happy for us, after what happened to me with that creepy guy in Jacksonville.”
“Sometimes gigs bring out the weird, but thankfully he didn’t show up again. And I’d like to remind you that you could always have moved in with me. I don’t know how I feel about being a kept man,” I grumbled.
“That isn’t what Levi meant when he said I could keep you,” Beth replied, chuckling.
“I know, but still …” I trailed off.
“Anyway, you’re not moving in for free. You’ll be splitting the bills like we agreed.”
“And giving you restraint training,” I added with a winning smile.
“And orgasms. We never did agree on that number, you know,” she teased, chucking, and patting my junk.
“Are you talking to him, or me? In case it escaped your notice, my dick isn’t all that great at math.”
“Oh, you underestimate his abilities sometimes … but let’s keep it simple … how’s about … four … or five?”
“A week?” I asked, grinning.
“I was thinking more like … every other night. You do the math,” she replied, unbuckling the belt that had got us to the point where we weren’t only an item but had taken a leap of faith to live together. “In fact, I think you might owe me some orgasms. What do you say to you taking these pants off now and get our first night of cohabiting off with a bang.”
“That’s cheesy, even for you,” I remarked, grinning. “But hey, I’ve never been one to leave a pretty girl wanting.”
She flashed me a naughty grin as she continued to worm her way into my pants, and I quietly took stock of my life. Then I thanked a guy called Lance. I never met the guy who stole my ex but it led me to an amazing new future with Beth.
