"I don't."
"No? Are you sure?" I arch a brow.
He licks his lips and lifts me up by my tie the minute he's close enough. "I'm sure." He swipes his tongue across my mouth. "Not just the next one would do. I'd rather feast on you every damn meal of the day."
I swallow so hard my Adam's apple bobs in my throat. "If I were you, I'd take a step back."
He laughs. "It's a good thing you aren't me then. I told you, I'm not going anywhere."
I reach inside my jacket, and my eyes widen when my gun isn't in my holster. "You..."
"Yes, me. Apparently, you aren't the only one who's good at easily catching someone off guard." He lifts my gun in the air, emptying the bullets onto the ground.
"More proof we aren't right for each other," I huff. "We are each other's own fucking weakness."
"Or maybe it means the opposite. I don't think it's ever an issue when it's us against the world."
Us.
My throat goes dry and the simple word replays over and over in my head. We haven't been anusin a long time. "You and I are only working together this once and as soon as this is over, you will go back home and I will stay here."
He releases me and takes a step back. "Okay, but just know whenever you want me here, I'll quickly drop everything and come flying."
My breath quickens. "You mean once or twice until it becomes an inconvenience?" It's probably why he didn't fight harder for me the first time; I was no longer worth the hassle.
He strokes my cheek, holding my gaze with his. "No, more like every damn time."
Miguel exits my office, not saying another word. While he's gone, I answer some emails I'm late responding to. It's difficult to concentrate with his presence still filling the room. He's no longer sharing the same space as me, but his scent hangs heavy in the air.
I release a long sigh, forcing myself to dive back into my work. The drug business hasn't been moving smoothly with everything else being at stake. There are a few angry clients blowing up my inbox, wondering when they'll get their product. Their customers would start going somewhere else for their fix if I don't provide them with what they need soon.
I recently had to look into a few new suppliers in the area before getting in contact with Angel. Miguel got his drugs from a few local growers and never thought to consider my son which makes the stuff I provide different from his. The office door opens as I'm on my last email for the day.
Miguel grins my way, leaning against the frame. "Ready to go blow shit up?"
I slam my computer closed and stand up from my desk. "Always."
Chapter 15
Miguel
Able drives my car and Germo follows in a sedan behind us with two other guards. Instead of taking the front seat next to Able, I slide in the back beside Marcus. He glares as I close the door, telling Able to drive.
"What are you doing?"
"Had to make sure you didn't get too lonely by yourself back here."
"I've ridden in the back seat alone plenty of times."
"Well now you don't have to." I slide my hand over his bouncing knee and his gaze burns a hole into my skin. I caress the inside of his thigh and his breath hitches. He closes his mouth every time he opens it to talk, unable to form words.
"Anxious? Let me help you relax."
He swallows hard and I palm his hard cock over his slacks. His gaze shifts to the front of the car where Able is.
"Don't pay attention to him. Look at me." I grab his chin, pulling his face towards mine while using my other hand to unbutton and unzip his pants. His breaths quicken. "Don't."
"Por que?"
