Cole

My mind races back to the events that just took place as I enter the bathroom down the hall. Panic had taken over me, and I zipped up my pants once we were finished, leaving him alone in the hallway still using the wall for balance. He remained there for a while and watching him as I walk away left an uneasy shift in my stomach.

It’s too late for me to go back now and he is probably already on his way back to his friends. Then I smile remembering he still has cum all over him and smells like sex. I loved the idea of others being able to smell me on him. I quickly toss the remnants from the events that just occurred in the trash can. I wash up a little before tucking my shirt back in and fixing my vest and suit jacket before straightening my tie, so it doesn’t look like I just had sex in the hallway, even though that is exactly what I did. My hair still looks pretty good, but I run my hand through it anyway, just in case. The water is cold when I splash some on my face, hoping my lips don’t look too swollen from the hot rough kisses I just shared with the stranger in the hall.

There was something about him that just seemed so familiar, but I couldn’t figure it out. This guy could have been anyone, but probably no one I knew. I still cling to the hope that the stranger is someone I will see again in the near future. I’m not sure how I will know it’s him, though. All I’m left with is the memory of the way he tasted in my mouth, the feel of his smooth skin, and the scent of coconut shampoo I had the pleasure of smelling as I buried my face into his soft brown hair.

I shake all the thoughts from my head the moment I start to grow hard again as I walk down the stairs to return to the party. A man in a green mask strolls toward me, wearing a gold, flashy watch I recognize to be Paul’s. “Cole, is that you? It’s me, Paul.” He lifts his mask up for me to see the rest of his face.

I nod. “Yeah, how did you know?”

He smiles smugly. “I knew I recognized that burgundy suit. I was with you when you bought that ridiculous thing, remember? Although now that I see it on you, I’m starting to form a different opinion. That suit is totally you, man. Where have you been this whole time? Did you get lost in my house again?”

I look back up the stairs I came down before looking back at him. “Nah, someone was in the downstairs bathroom, so I went to the one upstairs and then ran into a friend up there and got to talking. I must have lost track of time.”

Suspicion fills his eyes before his smile turns into a sly grin. “Talking, huh?”

I nod, hoping not to reveal anything with the expression on my face. “Yeah, talking. Look, I could really use a drink… you know, the first one of the year. How about you join me?”

He hesitates for a minute as if he wants to push further but instead rests his hand on my shoulder. “Yeah, sounds good, buddy. Let’s go drink the rest of the night away and worry about the repercussions in the morning.”

Oh, I will definitely remember everything in the morning, at least all the important things. I follow him to the bar. I down a glass of champagne I grab from a nearby table on the way there. Paul grabs us a few shots of Patrón. Yeah, I will remember everything that happened in the upstairs hallway in the morning, all right, but I may not remember a damn thing regarding the last hours of the night.

A peppy blonde approaches my way in a red mask I recognize to be Melanie’s. She puts her hand on Paul’s before leaning to whisper something in his ear that makes him chuckle. He whispers something back before pointing to me. Melanie takes a step back, observing me before clasping her hands to her mouth.

“Oh my goodness, Cole, is that really you? That suit looks fantastic. Aren’t you quite the sight tonight!”

I laugh. “I could say the same for you, Melanie. You look lovely tonight.” She presses her hand to her chest in an attempt to act modest, which we both know she’s anything but. The woman knows what she looks like, and she lets you know that she knows it too.

She giggles a little as she lays her hand on mine. “Well, aren’t you sweet. Where’s your date? Looking as good as you do tonight, surely you didn’t come alone.”

“No date. I chose to go solo tonight.”

“Well, I doubt you’ll be solo for long.”

Her eyes move from me to someone else across the room before rushing off in their direction. She gets halfway and turns her face back toward me as she walks away. “Nice seeing you, Cole. Have fun tonight but not too much fun.” She winks before picking up her pace toward the other person.

I could just slap myself once I realize I completely forgot to ask her the question I’ve been wondering all night: which mask in the crowd belongs to my adorably shy neighbor. If this is indeed the party he was attending tonight, which I have a feeling it is. Perhaps it’s best I don’t know. Besides, after what just happened between the stranger and me upstairs, I don’t think I could face Danny now.

The rest of the night becomes a blur as Paul continues to pass me drink after drink. I don’t ever run into the sexy man in the mask the rest of the night. Or maybe I did and didn’t realize it. I don’t even remember calling an Uber to take me home, but apparently, I did, and I managed to make it up the stairs safely in my apartment with no recollection.

I wakeup the next morning in my bed still fully clothed and smelling like sex and alcohol. The only thing I do remember from last night is the thing I didn’t want to forget, my encounter with the sexy stranger in the blue and gold mask the way I had his body pressed against the wall biting his lower lip to prevent from screaming as I fucked him. Those images remain etched into my mind, and I don’t think they will ever leave. I don’t want them to.
