Today was the day of the attorney’s ball. This was an annual black-tie event, for pretty much every attorney, judge, any high profile legal professional, and even law professors around the world. The event was hosted right here in Miami every year. The state bar association would put this grand event together, and it was always a beautiful turnout. The purpose of the event was to really celebrate the legal professionals, and the hard work that they’ve put in, give out awards, and each year, there would be a charity of some sort that everyone there would donate to. Tonight, they were raising money for scholarships for law students, so I was making sure to bring my checkbook, so that I could contribute to the charity.

I was spot on in my attire because I knew that people treated this event like theGrammy’s, and they would come out, dressed to impress. My dress was custom made by a well-known designer here in Miami, named Keith. Keith has made plenty of dresses for me throughout the years. Each year that we would attend this ball, I would always go to him for his services, and this year, he really did outdo himself.

Usually, I would give him the specifics, telling him exactly what I wanted, but this year, I had him freestyle, only telling him that my colors of choice were black, and gold. I also told him I wanted something elegant, but sexy, and I needed it to snug me, showing off this snatched waist because in a few months, when I started showing, the waist wasn’t going to be as snatched anymore. The dress that I was wearing was made of velvet, and it snatched me right up, just like I needed it to. He made it where the neckline was off my shoulder, showing off my slim neck, that didn’t house any jewelry because I really wanted my neck, and my perfect facial structure to show. There was gold beaded embroidery that started from the neckline, and it made its way down the length of the dress. Because the dress was floor length, you really couldn’t see the black,Manolo Blahnikheels that I had on, but they were beautiful, and it was a super high heel, that I was able to walk around effortlessly in.

I made sure that I was dripping in diamonds tonight. I was representing my man tonight, so I had to come with it. All week, Law had been hyping me, telling me that he wanted me to be the finest shit in the room, so I was just following his orders. There were classic diamond studs in my ears fromHarry Winston. If you knew this brand, you would know that I was walking around with the price of a house in my ears. These earrings were a gift from Law a few years ago. Because of the price of them, and the fear that I had of losing them, I’ve only worn them twice. As I stood here, looking myself in the mirror, the way the diamonds in the earrings were bouncing off the wall was literally sick. My favorite jewelry to wear on my wrist was anything fromCartier,so tonight, there were a couple ofCarter Diamondlove bracelets on my wrist. A couple ofVan Cleefrings were on my finger, just to top it off. Make-up was flawlessly done, having me sparkle, and shimmer, just like the gold in my dress. There was oil on my body, that had me glistening, and I mixed scents tonight, doing a little sweet, and musky.

I straightened my hair for this event. Usually, my hair was in it’s curly state, but I wore it straight tonight. It was parted down the middle, hanging down, touching the tip of my ass. On both sides, I had it where it was tucked behind my ears because I was truly trying to show off my perfect facial features.

I shook my head, not being able to believe how good I looked, and then I cut the bathroom light off, walked out, grabbed my goldBottegaclutch from the bed, and I left the bedroom.

My sons and Law were all downstairs waiting on me. The driver was here as well to take us to the event. I made sure to hold onto the railing, as I made my way down the stairs, and on my way down, I could hear commotion coming from the living room area. I knew from the things that I heard that Law and Creed were on that damn game because the two of them were talking trash to each other.

When I walked inside, all I could do was silently thank God when I saw all three of my handsome men, each dressed in matching black tuxedos. Both Creed and Law were standing up, with the controller in their hands, each eager to beat each other. As if it was a real-life football game, Legend was sitting at the edge of his seat, dying to see who was going to win. Right now, it was tied at 14-14, and they were in the final seconds of the 4thquarter.

“And when I win, I take forms of payments throughCashApp, Zelle, ApplePay,whatever. I need those new J’s that just dropped,” Creed, the biggest shit talker right after his daddy said.

My presence could be felt, because eventually, all of them turned their heads to look at me. Creed, who wasn’t going to lose a game by means necessary, he only turned to look at me for a second, whereas Law looked, and he couldn’t stop looking.

“Shit! God damn. What the fuck,” he blurted, not able to put his eyes back on the game as he watched me.

“Touchdown! Should have kept your head in the game!” Creed boasted.

Law didn’t give a damn about what our son was talking about because he ended up tossing the controller, and he walked over to me. The same way he was gushing over me, I was damn near doing the same thing, but I was just trying to control it because my boys were right here. Although I saw Law in formal wear, pretty much every day of the week, it would always be a look that I would never really be used to. This black, double- breast tuxedo that he was wearing, was tailored to perfection. His muscular body fit the tux so well. The Prada dress shoes that he wore were so clean, and shiny, looking as if they were fresh out of the box. God, I wanted to eat him alive, as he walked over to me, doing that cocky walk that only he could do, and he came right for me, wrapping his arms around me, putting them on my ass, and I lifted my arms, wrapping them around his neck.

“You’re so fuckin beautiful, baby. Damn, if we didn’t already make a baby, I swear we would be in here making one tonight,” he complimented me, causing me to laugh.

“Man, watch out,” Creed spat, pissed that he’d overheard his dad say that to me.

I was so locked in with my man, that I couldn’t even pay my hating ass son any attention. I wanted to kiss him so badly, but I didn’t want to mess up my red lipstick. Law knew it too. He knew how I was once my make-up was on, so as badly as I knew he wanted to kiss me as well, he respected it, just removing my arm from around his neck, and he kissed the back of my hand.

We eventually pulled away from each other, and I went over to my boys, examining them both, taking in how good they looked this evening. Creed had fresh braids that I’d put in last night, while Legend’s curly taper was nicely trimmed, and his curls were popping. They’d all went to get line ups first thing this morning.

I couldn’t help but to pull my phone out, and snap pictures of my favorite men. Law did the same, thirstily snapping pictures of me. My boys pulled their phones out, taking videos of me, and snapping pictures too. I took some pictures with my boys, some with Law, and once that was all done, we were able to leave the house.

Our driver was outside, waiting for us. It was a black Mercedes sprinter parked out front for us. Creed, and Legend climbed in first, Law came behind me, where he lifted me, so that I wouldn’t have to step up, and once I was inside, I took a seat down in one of the pilot styled seats. Law came in, sitting in his own seat, and that’s when the driver closed the door behind us.

A minute later, he was pulling out of the driveway, and we were headed to the ball. I was quiet the whole ride, really thinking about the events that might transpire tonight. I knew that Dominic would be there, but I was hoping that his ass might have gotten sick, probably even caught a flat on the way there, and decided that he wouldn’t come anymore. Even if he did decide that he was going to come, I just prayed that him, and I could stay on two totally different sides from one another.

“You good? I know you not nervous. You’ve been to plenty of balls before with me,” Law said, snapping me out of the daze that I had been in. He reached his hand over, so that he could put it on my thigh.

“No, baby. I’m fine,” I assured him. He just nodded, deciding to drop it.

Almost twenty minutes later, we pulled up to the event. It was being held out in Coral Gables at theBiltmore Hotel. This was a perfect spot for this event to be held, since it was one of those historic hotels with a nice ballroom. Our driver was able to pull the sprinter up in the front, where he stepped out, opening the back door. Law got out first, and just like he did with assisting me getting in, he did the same thing with me getting out. He lifted me up by my waist, and he gently put me down on the ground. The boys stepped out next, and we thanked the driver. He let us know that he would stay parked out front, and for us to enjoy our time.

“I hope it’s some fine girls inside,” Creed was the one to announce, once we were all walking up.

“That’s your problem now. Your always worried about the wrong damn thing,” I shot, hitting him in the back of his head. Like it was funny, he just started laughing.

We eventually made it inside, and you would have thought that we were the Carter family by the way everyone swooned over us once we were inside. We were complimented as a family the minute we entered the room. Cameras were put into our face, snapping pictures. It was a big event, so there were reporters that were quick to put mics in our face, wanting to know what we were wearing tonight, what we were most excited about, and talking about the charity. Luckily, I worked in this kind of business, so I was used to it, but I was feeling just a little bit overwhelmed. I was so good at hiding it though.

During our interviews, Law held onto me tightly, arm wrapped around me, so if the world was ever in question on if we were back together, when this footage dropped tonight, they would know for sure that we were. My boys were behind me, with looks on their faces, as if they were ready to find their seats because I knew how much they hated this kind of stuff.

All of this didn’t end until almost ten minutes later, and we were finally able to walk away, finding the reserved table for us, and our family, and friends. My mom, Shai, and Milan were all seated already. I walked over with a big smile on my face, going for my mom first, hugging her. I kissed her on the cheek, and then I went for my twin sister, doing the same, and I ended it off with Milan. My boys, and Law followed suit, hugging them as well.

“Ima take the boys with me. Let them work the room with me for a little bit. You good?” Law asked me once I sat down.

“I’m good, baby. Go ahead,” I assured him. He nodded, kissed the top of my head, and then he walked away, taking the boys with him.
