“Thank you.” Rooker said. Picking up his own fork, he began to eat his own breakfast.

He was pleased to watch as Carri ate everything on her plate. When he offered to make her something more, she shook her head.

“Good girl for eating everything,” he praised as he rose from the table.

He smiled as she straightened slightly and gave a big smile at his words. “It was all delicious. Thank you.”

“You’re very welcome. Now it’s time to brush your teeth, use the potty and wash your hands,” he instructed as he rinsed the plates and put them in the dishwasher.

“Yes, Sir,” she said with a left-handed salute before slipping from her chair.

Instead of leaving the room, Carri approached him. When he turned to face her, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down to kiss him right on the lips.

The kiss started out sweet, but grew spicy in the next three seconds. Rooker allowed her to be in charge for as long as he could before taking over. Tilting his head slightly, he mated their lips, and then stroked his tongue across the seam of her lips. When they parted, he delved inside, taking the kiss even deeper.

They were both breathing hard when he finally broke the kiss. He cuddled her close as their breathing eased, slowly loosening his hold before finally releasing her. Her cheeks were bright red, and she looked as if she were not sure if she should run away or throw herself back into his arms.

Taking a step back, Rooker decided to keep it light. “Go on, little one, before things get out of control, and we don’t make it to the convention center today.”

While she hurried to get ready, Rooker quickly wiped down the counters and poured his travel mug full of coffee. Going upstairs, he accomplished the same tasks that he had assigned Carri. Returning to the front door, he found her waiting, with her bags at her feet.

“All right, little girl, are we ready for day two of the Lil’palooza?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

When they reached the convention center, Rooker parked in the row farthest from the building. He carried Carri’s bags as they walked to the park. They had about fifteen minutes beforethe building doors would be unlocked for the vendors, so he guided her to the park for a few minutes on the swings.

By the time they walked into the building twenty minutes later, Carri’s smile was bright as the sun, and she was deep in her Little headspace.

“Are you going to be okay until your sisters get here?” he asked once they reached her booth.

“Sure, I’ll be fine,” she said, trying to sound confident, but not quite achieving it.

Rooker pulled her in for another hug and brushed a kiss on her forehead. “My number is in your phone. If you need me, call or text me and I can be here in a couple minutes. I’ll come back at noon so we can have lunch together.”

“O-Okay,” she agreed, sounding a little overwhelmed.

Dropping his head so his lips were by her ear, he whispered, “Be a good girl for Daddy. Have a great morning and sell a bunch of stuffies. I’ll see you at noon.”

Kissing the side of her neck, he straightened and forced himself to walk away.

Chapter Seven

As Carri watched Rooker walk away she took several deep breaths, trying to shift into her Big mindset.

“Are you okay?” Lottie asked as she approached with several very full cloth bags hanging from each arm.

“I’m fine,” Carri answered, shaking herself and moving into her own booth space.

“There is more stuff in the car to bring in,” Lottie pointed out as she set the bags down with a sign of relief.

Lottie and Carri had never been super close, but her sister was talking to her as if she were a child, instead of an adult only a few minutes younger than she was. Carri wasn’t sure if she was hurt or offended at the tone. But she’d found her Daddy, so she could be nice, for now.

“Okay.”

Without another word, Carri moved the boxes sitting on their trolley to the floor before pulling the empty cart behind her out of the ballroom. In the parking lot, Tilly stood next to her SUV. Carri blinked when she saw the trunk space was full.

“What did you do, bring everything in the house?” Carri asked as she locked the trolley’s wheels and began to pull boxes out of the SUV and carefully pile them on the cart.
