After a very human-like huff, DJ padded to the dog bed and curled up.
“Impressive.”I smiled at him.
He tipped his head like it wasn’t anything.Then a huge smile stole over his face.“I know, right.Adulting.”
I rolled my eyes.“My turn.”
But unlike Noah, I grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around my body.
“You know you’re kinda ridiculous, right?I’ve touched and kissed almost every delicious inch of you!”he shouted as I retreated into the bathroom.
I shook my head as I took care of my business in the bathroom and swapped the huge blanket for Noah’s robe hanging on the wall.Of course, the thing swamped me almost as much as the blanket had.I gave myself a quick look in the mirror as I tied the robe around my hips.My eyeliner was only kinda smudged.But my bedhead was out of control.I finger-combed my long brown hair as best as I could then huffed in annoyance that quickly ended in a grin.
I’d just had amazing sex.There really wasn’t much to be annoyed with.
I turned, grabbed the blanket, and dragged it back into the bedroom.
Noah grinned at me.“Please.Make yourself at home.”
“Thanks.I did.”I laughed as I pulled the blanket back on the bed.
Muffled thumping nabbed my attention, and I turned to see DJ blinking up at me from his dog bed as his wagging tail beat against the plush surface.I wanted to talk to him, pet him, but I didn’t want to disrupt the rules Noah had put in place.
I crawled into bed and snuggled into Noah’s side.His arm came around me.
“This is nice.”I sighed.
He grunted.“Mmmm.”
My brain hummed.Noah clearly wanted to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t turn my brain off.Everything in me burned to talk about something—anything.“What did you mean with that whole exhibitionist thing?”
“Huh?”He didn’t even open his eyes.
“You said something about being an exhibitionist?Or you know an exhibitionist?”
He hummed.“Xander is.”
“Wait, what?”
He huffed a laugh.“You seriously didn’t know?”
“No!”Now my brain whirled for a whole different reason.“But Harper…”
He laughed harder.“Sometimes there are things it’s best not to think about.”
“No shit.”I laughed with him.
“You really didn’t know?”I heard him move in the dark then his arm came around my torso as he pulled me closer to him.
“No!I tried not to hear about any of that.I have to work with you guys.”
“And now you know I have my dick pierced and Xander goes to sex clubs.Welcome to the dark side.”
I smiled as I snuggled into his side.From my point of view, the dark side was pretty damn good.
