“Thank you.” Petting his chest, I closed my eyes and relaxed against him. “I thought explaining going to the club this weekend would be the hardest to tell him about but he seemed more worried about me having lunch with Mr. Jasper than anything else. Oh, but I told him how nice the men were.”

Lots.

Anson chuckled. “He’s probably worrying about a lot of things. The lunch one might just be him worrying that it will mess up our relationship?”

It didn’t sound like Anson thought that was a problem, which made me feel better since I hadn’t been worrying about that. “It’s only lunch, but somehow touching my butt and having a meal together means that I should be dating Mr. Jasper.”

There was no logic in that, so I kind of thought it was aFrancis needs therapykind of issue. “It’s…it’s confusing but I told him that wasn’t how dating worked and that you’re my long term, so nothing else matters.”

Anson made a pleased hum that went right to my dick. “I’m your long term, huh?”

Just the tone in his voice made it clear that was a good thing, so I giggled and pressed my face against his chest when he squeezed me tight. “Yes. You’re my long term.”

Now that I’d found him, I wasn’t letting him go…experiments or not.

He got me.

“Because I give you rules and make you talk to me?” He was trying to sound curious and serious, but it wasn’t believable. “You seem to like that rule.”

He liked that rule too because I’d told him about a fantasy I’d had when I was leaving Francis’s place.

“No. That’s not why you’re my long term.” The way he snickered said he knew that. “Can you guess anything else?”

Anson made more thinking sounds, loud, dramatic ones like we were in a movie or a cartoon. “Because I give you lots of orgasms?”

I managed not to laugh but it was hard. “No, but that is a nice bonus.”

Sighing, he sounded like the game was so difficult he wasn’t sure what to do next. “Well, it can’t be because I make you eat your vegetables and spank you. That’s just not logical at all.”

Well, the spanking part was, so I barely held back laughter.

“Probably not logical, but you said I’m a good eater.” Anson liked not having to worry about that because it gave him room in his brain to worry about more important things like when I went to bed and where I was.

“You’re right.” Anson sounded cheerful as he patted my back. “You do a good job with that.”

He was so silly sometimes.

“Thank you.” I did a good job keeping my tone serious, but it was painfully hard. “I appreciate you noticing.”

That time Anson’s chest shook with laughter, but he didn’t let it out. He wanted to laugh just as much as me, but I was winning. “You’re welcome, but I’m not done thinking yet. I’ll get it.”

I hoped so.

No giggles.

No giggles.

He finally made more thinking sounds and sighed. “It can’t be because you love me. That’s just too obvious.”

Very obvious.

“Sometimes the obvious answer is the right one, though.” I shrugged, still doing a good job of playing it straight because I didn’t laugh out loud yet. “You keep telling me not to overthink things.”

But I did so well at that I didn’t always take his advice.

Anson scoffed, shaking his head. “That can’t be right. You always overthink everything.”

And my giggles finally escaped.
